Product Details

The NEW Philips AVENT 4-ounce Natural bottle is the most natural way to bottle feed. The wide, breast-shaped nipple promotes natural latch-on so you can easily combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. The unique comfort petals inside the nipple increase softness and flexibility without nipple collapse, and the innovative twin valve anti-colic newborn-flow nipple helps newborns feed comfortably and easily. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold and easy for small fingers to grasp. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. This Natural Philips AVENT bottle is made from polypropylene, a BPA Free material, and works with all nipples and caps from the Natural line.

Natural, Flexible Nipple Promotes Latch-On
The included breast-shaped Natural newborn-flow nipple helps you combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Its natural shape promotes easy latch-on so your baby can feed contentedly and without interruption.

Built-in unique comfort petals make the nipple softer and more flexible. The petals also reinforce the shape of the nipple to keep it from collapsing in your baby's mouth, ensuring smooth feedings.

Dual Anti-Colic Valves Keep Babies Comfortable
The nipple has twin anti-colic valves that help make feeding more comfortable for babies. During feeding, the valves release air back into the bottle rather than into a baby's tummy to reduce colic and discomfort.

Ergonomic Bottle Is Easy to Grasp
The Natural bottle's wide neck helps you pour breast milk or formula without spills and offers ample room to use a brush to clean hard-to-reach areas once your baby has been fed. The ergonomic 4-ounce bottle is comfortable for parents or caregivers and easy for babies to hold on to when they're ready. Fewer parts mean that assembling your baby's next meal is fast and simple. Clear measurements on the side of the bottle let you instantly know how much your baby has eaten.

BPA Free Polypropylene Is Safe for Babies
Natural Philips AVENT bottles are made of sturdy polypropylene, which is free of potentially harmful BPA. Polypropylene is also easy to wash and sterilize using any Philips AVENT steam sterilizer or by boiling.

Compatible with All Natural Philips AVENT Bottles and Parts
Like all Natural Philips AVENT bottles, this 4-ounce bottle works with other Natural Philips AVENT components. As your baby grows, you can switch between different Natural bottle sizes and nipples to meet your child's changing needs. The Natural Philips AVENT bottle works with all Natural Philips AVENT nipples.

What's in the Box
One Philips AVENT 4-ounce Single Polypropylene Natural bottle, one newborn-flow nipple, and one bottle cap.

  • Title: really great for breastfeeding mommas

I have been using Dr. Browns and I do like them very much because of the airflow setup, they are offered in glass, and they are made in the USA! It is so hard to find a product that isn't made in China. I must admit, however, that I tried the Avent and I'm sold. I'm going to buy more. Here is why: 1. The nipple 2. They are made in England 3. I really like the size of these bottles. Instead of being tall and thin 4. They are BPA free. I still prefer glass and I believe these same bottles are offered in glass. I will still use the Dr. Browns bottles I have

  • Title: A nice update on the AVENT bottle

When my five-year-old daughter and three-year-old son were itty bitty, we used Avent bottles. They were easy to clean, fairly basic, and never tummy-upsetting for ours (unlike a couple other brands that made our babes gassy). With a third on the way, and the first one who will be completely bottlefed (since we're adopting, breastfeeding won't be part of the plan this time), I was considering Avent again. I was also looking at other options too, but I think the design of this bottle has me sold on Avent's new line. Design: This one is more ergonomic Nipple: Unlike the typical Avent bottles Cap over nipple: More dome-shaped than the typical Avent clear lid. Country: Made in the UK Markings: Blue lines and numbers demarcating US fluid ounces on one side and ml/cc on the other Compatibility: I tried to switch out components between a traditional Avent bottle (the old style) and a Avent Natural one (this style). You can screw the ring and nipple from the old style on the new bottles and vice versa without any leaking; however Nipples that come with it: Size 2 (1+ months) Number of bottle included: Two Number of ounces per bottle: 9 BPA Free

  • Title: Only 3 parts for easy cleaning

Many baby bottles these days have an overabundance of parts which makes cleaning a pain. This bottle works effectively with only 3 parts - nipple, plastic ring, and bottle. The nipple will leak if you tip it over but this is true of all vented bottles.

  • Title: Great Redesign

I have used Avent bottles for both of my older children. However, I did not care for the new design with my middle child. The ring that was added to the classic model was a pain to clean and keep up with. I had just started looking at other models when I came across this one. Here are all of the pros to this bottle even if you aren't breastfeeding! 1. Only 3 parts and they lock easily. With the classic model I had some issues with not quite getting the top on right and it would leak. This one is easy to put together and less to clean. 2. The new nipple is wider and more like the breast. Even if you aren't breast feeding I found my infant preferred this nipple to the other ones. I also think that the nipple isn't quite as tall and doesn't tend to be too much for a newborn to handle. At times several other brands have given me the problem that it is too long for my kids mouths. 3. The shape is incredible. I love how it is shaped for your hand and my infants hands when they eventually begin to hold the bottle. It is a much easier grip and is one of my favorite things. 4. The top is a slightly thicker material and I find that so far it hasn't warped in sterilizing like the old tops use to. The main con that I see is that there is no variable flow nipple available for the natural bottles. My kids have bad reflux and tend to need a lot of oatmeal in their bottles as they get older. I am a little concerned about how to handle that as in the past I have forgone poking a hole in the nipple and bought the Avent variable flow nipples. I find these to be much more convenient. I am going to hope that they come out with a variable flow for this bottle before I get to that point."

  • Title: Would Recommend These

These bottes are great. The short wide design fits ergonomically in the hand. The narutal nipple shapes are great for baby. Other reviewers have reported that they can switch easily between breast and bottle because the shape mimics the breast nipple shape so well. These are easy to clean because there aren't too many parts. There are only three parts per bottle. Some people prefer glass but I think as long as they are BPA free, they should be fine. These bottles are made of BPA free polypropylene, which is lighter and easily to pack than glass. Two bottles come in a pack. I would definitely recommend these.

  • Title: Good bottles

This is a good set for babies who are still breastfeeding with mamas that pump instead of directly feed all the time. The nipple on the bottle is a good transition/comparison part to the mother, so it won't cause any nipple confusion (like so many bottles do). It's comfortable to hold, easy to clean, and the flow is decent (though it seems a bit too fast at times). Overall

  • Title: Improved bottles

The original Avent bottles were already my favorite bottles; these new bottles are even better. While the original system was great, occasionally the nipple would deform slightly under vacuum. Not nearly as bad as other systems like the Medela bottles, but still a little deformation of the nipple would occasionally happen. This new system where the air is sucked in through the nipple prevents the nipple from collapsing even a little bit. However, with this new system you can hear the air being sucked in and the sound of the air bubbling through the milk. Another thing is that the nipple is shaped more like the real thing. The new nipple shape makes it so that the baby has to open their mouth wider and take in more of the nipple like a real breast making it easier to go back and forth from bottle and breast. The bottles are shaped differently than the original bottles. I like the curvature of the new bottles as it sits better in the hands. However I tried to see what items from the old Avent system would work with the new Natural Avent bottles and this is what I have found: - The natural screw ring and nipple attachment works with the older avent bottles. The older screw ring and nipple attachment works with the newer natural bottles. The screw rings and the nipples - The natural Avent bottle works with the Avent Breast Pump Adapter/Connector ring. Therefore you can still pump directly into these bottles. - The Natural Avent bottles do NOT work with the bottle to trainer sippy cup handles - The classic bottle sealing discs to store milk work with one caveat. The sealing discs used to snap into the older system's screw rings. The discs don't snap into the new rings because the opening on the new Natural Avent bottles are larger. However Overall my feelings about this system is: PROS: The shape of the new bottles feel good in the hands The nipple shape prevents the nipple from collapsing The shape of the new nipples seems to mimic the breast more closely allowing easier time between breast and bottle BPA Free CONS: If you own the old system The items do not work with all existing Avent products. I like the versatility of the original bottles being able to turn into sippy cups eventually and you cannot do it with this system."

  • Title: Trust Philips Avent, like that this has only 3 pieces, ships with a slow flow nipple but you can add holes

Philips AVENT bottles have always been our favorite. Our daughter likes them, they hold up well to repeated use and washings. This particular bottle is taller than previous ones and narrower, which I think would be better for the average baby. Also our previous Philips bottles had 4 pieces. They used a 2 ring system. These have just 3 pieces. Nipple and bottle of course and then one ring. A couple of points. They ship with the first stage or slow flow nipple (not sure if there is a slow-slow one for new infants but the ones they ship with are the slow flow ones). Our daughter needs much faster flow. No problem. We made some additional holes. Medium and fast flow are or will be available for this bottle. Also at first our daughter found something about the bottles different. I think the nipple texture is a little different. But from her second use on she has been fine with them

  • Title: Huge, but works fine

These are fine baby bottles, and a lot of people will be happy with them. The positives:: - Only 3 pieces including protective cap - So wide makes them easy to clean inside - Wide makes it easier to grasp for adults (closer in size to a regular 12 ounce glass) The neutral: The claim that they produce less colic and less air due to twin valves is likely just a marketing term. We haven't noticed any difference between these and all our other bottles (We've tried at least 4 different kinds) The maybe not so good: Super wide

  • Title: Hugely improved nipples, but regressed bottle design

To me, Philips AVENT is the Apple of baby products. Clean minimalist design, tasteful packaging, and easy to use. My 3-year old son used practically every bottles available in the US, but preferred AVENT Classic and Japanese Pigeon bottles (their nipples are interchangeable) above all else. My only major issues with AVENT Classic are its tendency to leak and nipples collapsing. Fast forward 2.5 years to today. My 4-month old son and I are eager to put AVENT Natural to the test. First the good news. The new bottle addresses leaking once and for all. The cap is extremely tight and can be difficult to remove As with the Classic Now the bad news. The nipples are not backward compatible. Worse

  • Title: Improvement on near perfection!

I have used Avent bottles with all of my children, and I never thought bottles could get any better. Although we have also used Dr. Brown bottles with my two young twins, I always preferred Avent bottles for the easy of cleaning. With that said, I didn't think it would be possible to improve on the style of the "old" Avent bottles, but I was wrong. These new bottles have a slight curve to the bottles, which does make it easier to hold, without compromising the ease of cleaning feature. The nipples on these bottles, as opposed to the "old" version, is shaped more like a mother's breast, which should make the transition from breast to bottle easier on the baby (and by extension, whoever is offering the bottle) I also noticed that the nipples on these bottles collapse much less than the nipples on the old style Avent bottles, so that is a plus also. In short, I love these new bottles, and these will be what my upcoming arrival will be using when we transition him/her from the breast to the bottle.

  • Title: Excelent design and size, and PBA free

This design allows for good transition from breast to bottle, and back. The shape of the nipple closely mimics the natural breast. The airflow design reduces air intake and reduces the need to burp. The first reaction is the bottle is too small, however it is a good size and easier to handle than the larger bottles, which is a good trade-off. Two great things. It is NOT made in China so you don't have to worry about those chemicals which seem to show up in their products where they aren't supposed to be. Second, it is PBA free. I know there is no CURRENT proof of a PBA issue, but why take the chance if you don't have to?

  • Title: Life Saver

This bottle is awesome for breastfed babies. My 3 month old refused to eat when I went back to work and I was willing to try anything. After a couple days of trying different bottles that we already had at home I went online and found that these had just come out. I quickly got my hands on some to try and he loved them. Some of the other bottles that are more "breast-like" were very leaky and it seemed like he was drowning in the milk because the flow was too fast for him. These are a little pricey, but worth the peace of mind that my little one is getting his milk while I am away at work. Thanks, Avent!!!

  • Title: Well made and convenient in both size and use.

New parents often scramble at the last minute to find those items that baby showers and gift registries fail to provide. Often, bottles turn out to be one of those key items that are overlooked by gift-givers, especially since they are not cute or exciting when unwrapped as presents. While we were lucky enough to receive some bottles as gifts We are currently using three brands First off While we appreciate the BPA free nature of the bottles Although these are small (4 oz.) We've had great success using the TommyTippee microwave sterilizer with these bottles and overall rate them highly."

  • Title: Good bottles, but what a rip off

While I like this bottle I am not crazy about having to get 2 new nipples every month or every other month. That just seems a little extreme. Does the rate of your nipple flow change? It's 6.00 for 2 replacement nipples on Amazon. Also by the time you reach 6 months, you need a bigger bottle than 4 oz. I will use until probably 3 months and switch bottles.

  • Title: Baby prefers the original Avent bottles

We used this bottle when my breastfed baby was about 5 weeks old, and she seemed to like it well enough. Later on though (at 4 months), she seemed to not like the nipple as much and would fuss when we tried to feed her. We tried the original Avent bottles and she liked them a lot better and latched better. Another big downside to these bottles is that the cap is very difficult to take off.

  • Title: Prefer the Originals

These are suppose to create less gas in a baby, but my little girl just doesn't like them. The nipple is a new structure and she finds it hard to eat out of. I'm not sure if it is the size or the shape, but we could only try it once before she refused to go near them. I wouldn't buy these.

I was surprise when we got this new Avent on how much they had been refined, this bottle works much better than the ones we use three years ago. I am really glad, because that means we are not going too try to find a new brand for our baby, the bad news (for us) is that after using this one, we may update all to this new model, and give away the old ones... Yes the difference is that much!

  • Title: 4 ounce bottle, great size for newborn.

I breastfeed my baby, but now that I go to work I needed bottles for daycare to feed my newborn. The 4 ounce bottle is a great size to feed my newborn with. He normally only eats 2 to 3 ounces in one sitting so it is a bit over kill to have a huge bottle to feed him with. This bottle is the best size I have found so far! My daycare provider even commented on how she liked the size of this bottle, how it fits in her hand just right and isn't too big. I put these bottles and The First Year BreastFlow 5oz bottles in the diaper bag for daycare and she preferred to feed my baby with these. It is great to handle Sometimes I find the lid on top is hard to pop off especially if you have a baby in your hand when trying to get the lid off. But overall

  • Title: Bad quality

I bought these bottles right after reading all the positive reviews. Also, I really liked the fact that these come packaged with a quality seal which gave me some level of comfort that nobody used and returned these bottles. So I bought two packs and sterilized them. The baby seemed to be taking them well...however, I noticed that after each feeding my baby's clothes were soaked in milk. I decided that I've done something wrong when feeding (i.e. holding the baby and/or bottle at the wrong angle etc). But No! Then I discovered that these "improved" nipples were the root cause of the issue. My almost 5 month old would latch on without any problems but the milk was coming out of the angles of her mouth making her clothes wet. This never happened with any of the bottles we used before - i.e. Avent classic, Dr. Browns, Born Free, MAM etc. So please be aware of this issue before you decide to spend your $$ on Avent Natural NEW bottles since these bottles are a total waste of money. If you still prefer Avent

For our first child we tried all sorts of bottles and without anything gravitated toward Avent because of the quality of the products and the fact that they are made in England, not in China. Probably the biggest complaint with some of the bottles from a couple of years ago is that they leaked. This redesign I think is in part to address that. Now Avent has redesigned their staple item On the other hand You absolutely cannot go wrong with Avent. They have amazing customer service

To give the most shallow compliment first, these are just dang cute bottles--nice and fat and squat. To make the reasoning less shallow, these are wonderful for holding and easy to clean. I ordered these b/c my son does really well with the original Avent bottles, and I thought we could try these, too since he is breastfed part of the time. We supplement with formula, and when you have to shake the bottle to mix it it seems to leak about 50% of the time from under the lid- even when it is screwed on tight. The design is nice and simple- no extra pieces, and it seems to reduce air intake. I'd buy them again, but they're nothing special.

  • Title: Good design

I like these bottles - they were the first ones I tried and my baby took to them immediately. I like that they are small and that the design is simple. It's easy to assemble and clean. My baby didn't like the regular Avent bottle - too much leakage. I even have them in Pink (purchased from Babies R Us). My baby has gas and spit up issues, and so I did buy Dr. Brown's BPA Free Polypropylene Natural Flow Bottle Newborn Feeding Set as well from Amazon, so yet to see if the bottle itself makes a difference (although I did change the formula too).

We have tried all types of bottles. Our first born used the dreaded BPA version of baby bottles and we switched rapidly to glass when the first reports of BPA were surfacing. The avent / phillips bottles were always good. They simply worked better, warmed faster, seemed to pressurize less and just worked better than the rest. Now that the BPA issues have been taken care of, we switched back to the Avent bottles with our third. They do work great. They also (most importantly) leaked the fewest times of them all. We always found that if the Avent bottle leaked, a simple check of the nipple would find we didn't fully seat it ... otherwise they never leaked. I can not say the same of the Dr Brown bottles , which are good too ...

Despite the smart design of these bottles (nipple is sized and shaped similar to a breast, bottle is comfortable to hold, bottle is compatible with pumps), I would not purchase. Invariably, there is a fast leak at the lids and a frustrating mess. They are worthless for feeding and storage.

I thought I loved the old Avent style bottles, because they were great, but these are so much better. There are only two pieces now, the nipple and the top, so you don't have to worry about forgetting that pesky ring. The shape is amazing too! Once your baby gets closer to six months they will want to hold their bottle and it's so perfect for their little hands. Obviously I can't say enough about these. I actually donated all of my other Avent bottles and replaced them with these. If you want a bottle that will last until silly cup time, these are it! :)

I made the switch to this bottle from the Playtex drop ins with zero problems. My baby has had no problems with latching and we've experienced no leaks with these new bottles. I really like the nipple shape and the fact that it is wide. I have had no problems with going back and forth between breastfeeding and bottle feeding which is the most important for me. I notice that a lot of people are complaining about leaking, I have never experienced that. Actually, I notice my baby dribbles out more milk from his mouth when we breastfeed versus when he's bottlefed--each baby does their own thing. I would definitely recommend this bottles. They feel sturdy and the nipples seem more durable than other nipples like from Nuby bottles.

  • Title: Gas, gas gas

My poor baby. I have a 9 months old who has never had any stomach issues (gas, acid reflux, etc.). Easy baby, no fussing (except when hungry of course). With that said, a couple of days ago I started noticing (and hearing) air in her belly. I could feel it when I touched her belly and could hear it when carrying her. I tried figuring out what could be wrong and wasn't sure it bothered her. On day two while driving she started coughing and crying - I looked back and I could tell she had swallowed something nasty, probably acid reflux. About the time the air started accumulating is when I bought these bottles from Amazon. Next time I fed her I noticed that after every 4 gulps air bubbles would start accumulating in the bottle. I had noticed the bubbles before but decided they were going into the bottle not her belly. I don't know how this stuff works and always thought my friends who were picky bottle buyers were a little crazy. In the past I just bought bottles and used them, never thinking twice. I have the AVENT classic (one bottle only) and haven't had any problems. I bought the new ones because I'm trying to get my baby to hold her own bottles and thought the shape would help with that. And it does a little. But this gas thing is awful. I used the bottle again (I don't have that many and she's recently gone exclusively to formula) and just pulled it out of her mouth after every 4 gulps which helped. I don't recommend this product unless there's some attachment that can be used to reduce the issues with air.

Loved the new design and have used Avent in the past with good results. This time tried the new "just like Mommy's breast" bottles with preemie twins. The nipples are larger at the base and very small mouths don't create a seal so lots of formula leaks out the sides of the mouths. The bottles are larger around and it is difficult to see the babies tiny faces behind them and therefore keep the leaks cleaned up because the bottle is so big. I think these would be more successful with larger (more than 7 pounds) and older babies.

  • Title: Great transition for breastfed babies

These bottles come with the #2 (Slow Flow) nipple. Our 4-months-old is breastfed and supplemented with formula. The nipple shape and flow is just right for him. I would stay at this flow level (Slow Flow) as long as I'm breastfeeding him because it's pretty close to the flow when breastfeeding. These bottles are wider than some of the other brands out there so packing and storing these bottles require more space than the average bottle. Just to give you an idea of the width My baby prefers these bottles over the numerous other brands we've tried so I recommend these bottles for babies that are both breastfeeding and formula feeding."

I love the new design. I didn't like the old design so I went with tommee tippee with my baby in 2010. I went with this one with my new baby (now 1mon old). I think the nipple could be softer. He can drink out of it fine without leaks on the side of his mouth. But necause he's breastfed, he prefers me over the bottle. So we'll see in due time.

I love the bottles, but the nipple flow is too fast for a newborn ... My baby keeps on chocking and spitting up when using the nipple when she was just born. But now, she got use it and can manage the nipple and the flow better. She is not fussy after drinking, and she can burp very easily, so that no gas stays in her little tummy. The bottles are very easy to clean, I don't even need the brush, just wash them with regular sponge.

We've only had these bottles for a few weeks but so far we've been pleased with them. We already had a few of the classic Avent bottles and liked those. We like that these Natural bottles don't need the adapter ring like the classic version. We also have some Dr. Brown's bottles but haven't been very pleased with those because they have too many pieces, the nipples are too flimsy and they tend to leak. So far with these 9oz. Avent Natural bottles, we like the new shape since its easy to hold, that they only have the basic pieces so they're easy to clean, our son seems to like them and we haven't had any problems with leaking. We are now expecting baby number two and we will definitely be buying these bottles in the 4oz. size as well.

I bought several different kinds of bottles, including but not limited to Tommee Tippee, Avent (regular), & Playtex. I have 18 Tommee Tippee bottles, yes, 18 from when my first born was a baby. He loved them and would take nothing else, but my 2nd baby refused those and I had to do some hunting. The other version of the Avent bottles have a ring you must secure or the milk will just run out so I wasn't a big fan but baby was, so I tried these and he loved them. The nipples are very soft but they are secure in the ring and really easy to clean. Not having any extra parts is a big bonus when you have to was bottles every day. Every second counts! I'm not going crazy buying 18 of these, but I have 8 and that seems to be enough. Baby is 7 months now and still uses the level 3 size nipple and still has one more to go. I wanted to try and bottle feed my son, since he has been strickly breastfed. I tried a couple of bottles without succes. We've had breastfeeding issues since my baby was born 3 months ago, so I have been trying to find the "perfect" bottle for a breastfeed baby that wouldn't spoil him with overflow or whatever else can go wrong with the wrong nipple. But to be honest I'm not entirely sure these were any different from the Tommee Tippees or the other bottles I've tried. I would love them if we weren't supplementing, but I feel the Medela Calma's are better for my baby. It makes him work for the milk like he would while breastfeeding. But every baby is different so give it a shot.

  • Title: I've tried so many bottles

These are the best. And I just want to mention that we've had no nipple confusion since I introduce bottles really early. So my babies aren't picky. We have tommee tippee, playtex ventaire, similac, avent classic. I had munchkin I think, gerber glass bottle. What I like best about avent natural is the caps and lids. No adapter ring thingy. The cap comes off and on easier. The nipple can't possibly bend with cap on. The classic does the, you have to push it on straight and the nipple gets pushed in. The lid, there's no way my husband can over tighten it. So the other bottles, TT, I have to twist the cap off, playtex, LO puts the whole nipple in her mouth, you have to get it just right and we all get frustrated trying. Similac, I just don't care for and it did leak one time, it was just laying on it's side, and it leaked a lot. I love the shape of the avent classic nipple best. It really works for us. It doesn't leak yet but I'm worried it will eventually. With natural, worry free and the nipple works for us too. I just wish I got more of the naturals. But next baby we're going all natural. I highly recommend.

With the Medela bottle it seems that she is able to make a seal around the base of the nipple and with this bottle that is not possible and she ends up with milk all over her face and clothes! • Title: Flawed design

The design of these bottles is so flawed. My baby has no problems latching on to the breast or other bottles, but this one just doesn't work. The milk comes out the corners of her mouth and just gets spilled everywhere. Her bib is soaked every time. What a waste of breastmilk. In addition, the awkward shape of the bottle means that too much milk gets stuck in the ridges inside the bottle, never getting to the baby. I got this bottle as a sample - good thing I didn't spend any money on it!

Like the other reviewer mentioned, there is design flaw with the nipple. Baby's mouth does not seal and hence milk drip from corners of baby mouth. I tried to wait 3 months before giving these up for avent original bottles and my little one never had issue. All these months I had to change my baby dress at every feeding because that much milk dripped and wetting her dress. When I shopped for baby bottles, I loved the design and since it is from avent, I bought it. Now realized everything does not work for every baby. I still thank avent for rest of their products.i love them. This bottle did not work for our baby. It might work for others. We are sticking with avent original for now.

(I've used NUK, Momma by Lansinoh, and the classic Avent bottles.) The way he sucks and swallows with this nipple is really similar to the way he does it with the real thing - he has to actually work to get the milk out. I had bought the avent classic bottles before my son was born. After 9 months of him using them i wanted to buy new ones and decided to go with these. They look better than my old ones because they are skinnier in the middle but from the top are bigger. The one complaint i have is that the baby just sucks for a little bit then lets go and while he's sucking he cant really latch on good and sucks in air as well. I think he lets go because i purchased a set of nipples with fast flow and he's not use to it but i hope he gets used to them if not im gonna go back to the old ones. Overall i am pleased with this purchase. I just wished I'd bought them from the begining so he would have gotten used to them.

I bought these for my 11-month old to have for an occasional bottle of water or milk. She has been primarily breastfed since birth, but now I needed to be able to give her something else to drink occasionally. I admit they are too small in the amount of liquid they hold for her size. However they are perfect for her little hands to hold and they do not leak. Now that she is weaned, she still uses them and loves them. Next time I would buy the bigger size for an older baby.

I'm a busy mom to infant triplets, and also have a 2 1/2 year old. So, with 4 kids under three years old I needed to find a bottle that was easy to clean and didn't have a lot of parts, but was still good at preventing air intake. We had some Dr. Brown's bottles from our first child, and were also sent home from the hospital with several Dr. Brown's. So, after two months of washing several pieces for each Dr. Brown bottle (2-3 bottles used at each feeding) and feeding every three hours- I just had to find something better/easier. I received a classic style Avent bottle for my baby shower As I did more research I found the NATURAL bottles from AVENT. These are different from the classic and are sooo much better. There are only basic components to this bottle- the bottle -The bigger nipple has baby open mouth wider then the small skinny nipples (Dr. Brown's -The nipple is designed to prevent colic and air intake. I actually noticed after the first day of use less burps and gas - The bottles are ergonomic. I have tiny hands and my husband has huge hands and we both prefer holding this bottle to any other we've tried. This pack comes with #2 nipples which Avent says are slow flow nipples for use on 1-3 month old babies. However - I haven't had any bottle leaks ever There are two different types of bottles from Avent

The new design is great a mimicking some female nipple but I fear that it is also more prone to leaking on the side of the mouth. the older version of the Avent is like the Playtex (Kinda like a puffy nipple) we bought and it entirely fits in the mouth preventing leakage and air entering the mouth. Besides that the Avent fits very well in the hand and have very good quality materials. They are easy to open/close with one hand

  • Title: Made the transition between breast and bottle effortless!

I really wanted to be able to nurse and have baby take a bottle for when I returned to work. The Natural nipple was my answer. My baby does both without nipple confusion!

  • Title: Fantastic bottle by Avent

This is a great additon to the Avent line. Purchased this bottle for my four month old daughter. We had been using Dr. Browns wide neck since she was born and wanted a bottle that did not have so many parts. We will be traveling a lot this year and all those part would have been a pain. I was concerned she would not like the nipple being it is different than the Dr. Browns wide neck. To my surprise she latched on right away and had no problems. We much prefer this style to the original avent. These are much more compact bottles. I plan on ordering may more in the glass version. I had to buy the plastic to try it out since babiesrus does not carry the glass version yet. Thank you Avent for making such a great bottle and offering it in glass!
