The Classic warmer is suitable for all Classic bottles and includes a bowl to keep food warm. Once it's switched on, the warmer gently heats bottles and food within four minutes. This warmer's compact size makes it easy to store on a kitchen countertop or bedside table for night feedings. It comes with a feeding spoon designed for babies six months and up.

Heats Gently and Evenly
The AVENT Classic Bottle/Food Warmer heats up bottles and food safely and evenly. Unlike microwaves, this warmer won't cause hotspots, so you can be sure the internal temperature is safe for your baby.

Takes Bottles, Magic Cups, and Food Jars
All Classic AVENT bottles, toddler cups, and food jars fit in this Classic warmer. Place baby food jars and filled bottles directly in the unit. When they're heated through, you can put the contents of the food jars in the included bowl to keep them warm.

Fast, Easy Operation
This warmer is easy to operate--just plug in and flip the on/off switch on the back of the unit. A neon light lets you know the unit is on and working. An included instruction guide makes it easy to calculate the correct heat-up time.

Operation involves adding water and turning the dial. The unit works quickly--it heats up 4 ounces of room temperature milk in approximately four minutes.

A light blinks to indicate that the contents are properly warmed to a safe temperature. To be sure, always test the internal temperature before giving to babies.

  • Title: Wonderful Product!!!!

This bottle warmer works great!! Since we don't have a microwave to heat water quickly, and I got tired of trying to heat bottles in warm water, a bottle warmer seemed to be the best solution. I choose this brand because I use the Avent bottles and because a local store had it marked down to $24 (I didn't know the original price One note on the blinking light. The instructions say when the light blinks Also I highly recommend this product!!"

Great product. Use it to warm food jars, while getting the rest of the family's meal on the table. Works very quickly. No mess. Simple to use. Would definitely recommend it.

  • Title: Does the job

I spent a lot of time scrutinizing bottle warmer reviews before deciding on this one. I breastfeed, but give my daughter the occasional bottle of expressed breastmilk. Early on I just warmed bottles using hot tap water in a cup, but it took forever to warm refrigerated milk. This bottle warmer does the job quickly. You do have to remember to turn it off, and if you leave the bottle in the warmer for too long, it can scorch, but that, to me, is to be expected. I just keep an eye on it and haven't had any troubles.

  • Title: Better than the steam-based ones

We use this warmer with the Dr Brown's glass bottles and have been very happy with it. Originally we had the steam-based version from Philips. It worked great as well, but the lid sometimes got in the way, you couldn't always tell how much water was at the bottom, so we dumped and refilled every time. This warmer just sits there quietly The one thing we've found is that the bottles warm better the higher the water level

  • Title: Love this warmer

This is a great warmer! We used it primarily to heat breast milk. It's great because you can adjust the heat and it's CONSISTENT. When you first get it, set the dial in the middle, put a bottle of refrigerated milk in it and then keep testing it at 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc. until you know how long it takes at a dial setting to heat the milk to the temperature you want. If you know you want more time to let the bottle heat, turn it down and do the same test. Likewise for less time. We got it so we set the dial at a position and left it for 3-4 minutes and got exactly the temp we wanted. We used it for more than a year and the thing was consistent the whole time. It's espeially great because you can leave a nanny with instructions and feel more at ease that she'll get it right.

  • Title: great sterilizer

it's a great steam sterilizer as advertised. i think people think a sterilizer means it is a bottle cleaner (you have to put clean bottles/parts in). it's also fast and easy to use. no problems and have been using it for 5+ months.

  • Title: works good but I don't get it-no timer

This bottle warmer has done its job and is awesome compared to running it under hot water (took forever) but it has some weird features. It has 3 settings but for warming anything from 4 oz. bottles to baby food, you use setting 3---don't know why there are even other settings. Also, it needs a timer. They give you specific heating times but there is no timer on the unit. You need to set another timer in order to not overheat the milk.

  • Title: Why no timer & why no on/off light?!?

I love the warmer, but WHY WHY WHY don't they have a timer on it? WHY is there no on/off light so I can see if the warmer is still powered up? As it is now, the indicator light only illuminates when the water is heating. Once it's reached desired temperature the light turns off (that's the water temperature, not the milk/baby food temp) but it's still powered up. It will eventually burn off all the water if you dont notice. Is it on or off? I have to look in the back of the unit to see the on/off switch - annoying since I have to turn it around every time if I'm not sure if its in or off. So now I have it sitting sideways on the counter and not only does it look odd that way (since it is clearly not the front showing) but the cord gets in the way. The directions state to unplug the unit after use so it's not left on by accident. What a pain that is. Here I am, baby in one arm and trying to pull a plug out of a wall socket one handed??? I hope the designers read these posts...

  • Title: Quick response for a crying baby!

My wife and I had hard time running to the kitchen and back to the bedroom for getting a warm water to heat the milk in the middle of the night with your eyes half closed and youre half awake. It takes about 8 mins til we're able to serve our baby a warm milk. Shes hungry! So I looked around the net for solution and found this product. Read the reviews and I was convinced that this is what we really needed. Both me and my wife are very pleased and happy how quick this product warms the bottle milk. It takes about 2-3 mins thats when the light shuts off and by that time the milk is ready. The moment the orange lamp/light turns off we pull out the bottle immediately and the milk temperature is just right. The water level is sometimes hard to determine how much youve poured in. cant really tell if its already level to the milk. My wife simply just lets it go little over the level of the milk. I wish they put a water level indicator outside. When the lamp/light turns off the water inside is hot, you can see it steam up and evaporate so you keep a bottled water beside ready for the next heating. After the light turns off after few mins it will turn on again because I believe it will maintain the hot water temperature. We put the dial setting high full to the right that way it's quick on heating the water and the bottled milk. This product is very very helpful making our response time to our baby quicker. When she cries, she cant wait for the milk. Just test the milk always before giving it to the baby. Always. I highly recommed this product to parents with baby.

  • Title: Messy and Frustrating

So we have a 2-year old and a month-old baby. We had owned and been pleased with "The First Years Quick Serve Bottle Warmer" but the bottom of it had--over the past 18 months' worth of us--become covered with a layer of film of some sort... which was gradually making it take longer & longer to heat the bottles (fairly understandable, as it had probably been used 1,800 times in the past year and a half). So I went to Amazon and was planning on just ordering another one when I saw the Philips Avent version. I read the reviews and decided to go with it (despite being over 2x the price of the other one). Here are the pros/cons of the the Philips Avent: Cons: * Terribly short cord. Unless it reaches right to your sink (and mine doesn't) it's a huge pain to fill up. My counter usually had water all over it when I was done. And there's not point adding a 3-foot extension cord to it--do you really want cords all over your kitchen counter? * Ditto getting the water out of the unit when finished. Again * The cord is so stiff/thick and didn't lay flat out of the box * I always forgot to turn off the power switch at the back of the unit. Why it doesn't shut off on it's own * Agree with other reviewers that the indicator light that tells you when a bottle is ready is not intuitive. * The instructions only explain how to use the unit with Philips Advent bottles (we own Born Free). Not helpful. Pros: * When properly run SUMMARY: This morning

  • Title: Good product except for there being no timer

This is a good product, but Avent should have added a timer or an automatic shut-off feature. I don't mind taking the extra step of setting the timer on the microwave, but in terms of convenience (which is why we buy these products), this only deserves four stars instead of five. Other than that, the milk in the bottles are consistently warmed up at 4 minutes, and it is definitely more convenient than sitting them in hot water for who knows how long.

  • Title: Fast but not not steady

It defrosts fast but the temperature stay hot. After warming, we always have to cool the warmed (more like hot) milk in running water before feeding it to the baby. When I bought this, I thought that the warmer will only warm up the milk to the feedable temperature. We it gets 3 stars cause it's great for defrosting and it's good to have then not to have.

  • Title: Great Product!

I read a lot of reviews before choosing this warmer and selected it because of the quick warm-up time. I am not disappointed. I turn it on when the baby wakes up and the bottle is warm and ready by the time his diaper has been changed. I can see how the bottle could get too hot if you leave it in for too long, but my son never gives it a chance to overheat!

I'm now using this bottle warmer for my 2nd baby. Works well and quickly, but it desperately needs an ON/OFF switch or an automatic shut off would be terrific. It's really easy to take the bottle out (with a hungry baby) and forget to unplug the device. We've done it a few times and left the water down to a low level because it's evaporated away.

My husband and I got 2 of these bottle warmers (1 for upstairs, 1 down). Thank goodness they were on sale. The idea was appealing for the ease...No more running water over the bottle to warm at her 3AM feedings. However, this warmer needs an automatic shut off. Otherwise, you need to be very careful about leaving it on after you remove the bottle. I have had a couple near disasters trying to soothe a hungry baby as quickly as possible. It's dangerous. I'll be looking for another with that safety feature.

  • Title: have they ever used their own product?

People who designed this product clearly never tried using it. If you forget the bottle in there too long, then it gets the bottle too hot. Because, there is no timer! Why not add a small buzzing sound? There are three heating levels, but only one (#3) is supposed to be used. Why have the other ones then? The only good feature is that it keeps the water in it at more or less constant temperature by shutting itself off automatically. I can't imagine how they were able to come up with this design.

  • Title: does what it suppose to

this is a simple bottle warmer. you just need to put in water and turn it on/off, the three settings don't make any difference for us. we just set it to 3 and use this to warm up refrigerated breast milk, usually it takes about 5-7 minutes to get the milk warm. it works the same was as if you're warming the milk w/ hot water, except the water automatically heats up and stays hot. we still need to standby and swirl the milk after every couple minutes so the milk warms evenly. we use avent bottles, so the bottle fits perfectly. w/ dr. brown bottles, it might not fit as well.

This thing works great for me. I would be lost without. We were heating bottles under hot water, but this cuts time in half for me. You do have to watch it as it does not have a timer. Once you get a feel for it and the amount of time you need to heat the bottle to your child's preference, it works great.

I have had this warmer since my first child was born almost 6 years ago. I will soon be using it for my 4th child - and it still works like a charm. I don't even empty it out every time I use it. I just dump out the water and put fresh water in every few days or so. I have used it for baby food and bottles alike. My single and only complaint is no timer. I have overheated bottles not infrequently as I get busy making dinner or something. It does heat quickly - just about 4 minutes on high for a full 8 oz bottle."

  • Title: Works fast but can overheat milk

The bottle warmer is compact and easy to use. It's got a sticker on the back with recommendations for how much water to fill in the warmer and how long to leave it on depending on how many ounces you need to warm. I don't really understand why there are three settings (1, 2 and 3) when all the recommendations but one tell you to leave it on setting three. The warmer does heat milk up fairly quickly...around 3.5 - 4 minutes for 4 ounces. The only problem is that it can quickly overheat the milk too. Leaving the bottle in even for a minute past the recommendation can make the milk too warm. I find myself frequently pulling out the bottle and checking the tempurature to make sure it isn't took warm. The orange light that comes on is confusing because it doesn't seem consistent. Better not to have a light at all."

  • Title: Work well

It heats up the bottle well - every time. The 3 settings help choose the right waiting time based on how hungry your baby is. One con is that its very easy to forget to switch it off after use - you just have to be disciplined about it and do it when you take the bottle out.

Next to our wipe warmer, this bottle warmer is one of the best baby accessories we own! It's very simple to use. Put your bottle in, fill the water to the appropriate level, and you'll have warm food/milk straight from the fridge in less than 5 minutes. The heating reservoir is of ample size, so it will warm many different sizes of food containers. You don't have to use Philips Avent bottles with this warmer! As stated in other reviews

  • Title: Does the job, could use a couple improvements

If you're needing warm milk... this will do the job for you. Much better than putting a bottle in a mug of hot water. 4 minutes for room temp bottle and 5 minutes for cold. It's the timing that makes it sort of difficult. If, for example, you are only warming up 1 or 2 oz you don't need do warm it the full time. If the bottle is extremely cold in the fridge, it may take longer than 5 minutes. It would be nice if there was a clock on the warmer... or a timer.

  • Title: Poor design

We've been using this bottle warmer for almost 2 months and have been very disappointed with its design and ultimately the function. Strike 1 - It frequently over or under heats the bottle. We have to use our own timer instead of the light signal which is supposedly triggered by the thermostat. It does not work properly every time. Strike 2 - The on/off switch is on the back of the unit where you cannot see it Strike 3 - This warmer doesn't have an automatic shut off and since there isn't an 'on' light or switch on the front Strike 4 - The inside of the cup where you put the bottle is light blue I'm disappointed with this warmer and am looking for another one."

  • Title: Great for Formula feeding!

I had this bottle warmer with my 2nd child. I never used it with breast milk though. I did have an older version that did not have a light to tell when the bottle was ready. It has different setting and pretty much if you are wanting to warm a bottle you set the highest. I had used this at night I would put plain water in a bottle and place it in before bed with it set at an adjusted temp... it took a few trys to have it right... but once I did the water would be the prefect temp and all I did when the baby woke was put in the formula. Then after the baby would feed and went back to sleep I would just put in a fresh bottle with plain water and it would be ready again for the next feeding. Making nighttime formula feeding so much easier.

  • Title: Philips Avent Express Food and Bottle Warmer

This is a good warmer. It is a compact size that does not take too much space out of a kitchen counter. The only problem is that when the water is boiling, it shoots out of the warmer, which can burn your hands if you are trying to shut off the warmer.

  • Title: It works, but could be better

This bottle warmer does the job and works fast, but it is somewhat flawed in design. The whole "1,2,3" setting is kind of stupid. Obviously one would use the 3 setting since it heats the fastest. So the one and two setting are pointless. Also, it would be great if it had a timer on it?! Instead we use our stove timer, which is fine, but it just seems like the bottle warmer should have a timer on it.

  • Title: Seems reasonable

We have been using this warmer for 15 weeks. The description on amazon is true: it warms 4 oz of room temperature liquid in 4 minutes. However, we keep our filtered water in the fridge. It takes a bit longer than 4 minutes. I still think it's helpful though because it beats wasting faucet water that would run for just as long or longer to heat the bottle, the microwave isn't safe to heat bottles and the stove would probably take just as long as the warmer but seems less safe to me, especially in the middle of the night. I gave this warmer 4 stars only because the light goes off earlier than it should as the bottle isn't warmed by the time the light first goes off. But I've gotten very used to timing without the light It's not fast

  • Rating

  • Title: Disregard the instructions!!!

The good: heats milk very quickly The bad: It overheats in no time at all The control on the front is basically a thermostat for the water temperature inside. It instructs you to fill water to the level of food/milk in the bottle

  • Title: Simple Operations, but No Timer or Auto-Off

Very simple to operate. Just turn it on. Then turn it off when you estimate the milk has reached the desired temperature. But the unit has no timer and you have to track the time on your own. Also I would think for something this simple

  • Title: Best in its class

We bought the slightly cheaper munchkin bottle and food warmer earlier and it did its job well but being steam based it would cause some uneven warming (though it heats faster). The Philips avent heats evenly and instead of a set temperature it leaves the onus of gauging the temp of food to the parent as per their needs .. need it just warm enough then keep it for the recommended time as per the instructions .. as your kid grows and you need it a little more warmer then just extend the time window you keep the food in warmer to get your custom/desired temp .. great product !

  • Title: Great Product! FAST!

As a nurse I know how important it is to maintain nutritional components of milk, either breast milk or formula milk. This warmer is perfect for that job! It heats the milk or water (if you warm the water first before adding formula) very fast and efficiently without zapping the vitamins and minerals. I have noticed the warmer keeps the milk warmer for longer compared to other methods of warming. I have a 3 month old and he loves warm milk. I sometimes have to stop and rewarm the milk just so he will finish the bottle! That is okay because when I prepare his bottle in the warmer, I leave the setting on 3 so the water will be warm when I need to reheat, if he decides to be picky. It takes only a few seconds. Very fast and it makes life a lot easier for my husband and I. However, I do wish this product came with and on/off switch so you don't have to unplug it every time, it would also be nice if it had a timer and automatic shutoff. Even so, I still think the nutritional benefits outweigh the product design flaws. Sometimes simple is just better.

This is a great product, it doesn't take up to much space and it heats a 5 oz bottle in 6 minutes. Same heat every time, I don't need to worry about over heating. I took a star off because the part you put the water in doesn't disconnect, so I have to unplug if I want to fill using the faucet or fill it with a cup of water. Also, it doesn't have a timer. These 2 things would make it perfect.

  • Title: Great Warmer but Needs an Indicator Bell

This warmer works well and quickly. I returned one warmer that heated using steam, before settling on this product. My only problem with this warmer is that you have to stay nearby and wait for the indicator light to go off. If you leave the bottle in the warmer after the light goes off it will get REALLY hot really quickly, and then you have to cool it off before feeding it to your baby(which somewhat defeats the purpose of a warmer). So it would be nice if there was a chime or bell to go along with the light. Otherwise this is a great product.

  • Title: Better Than Steam

The Avent Bottle Warmer uses water (not steam) to heat the milk. Tried both steam & water bottle warmers, water bottle warmer is much better. Advantages: 1) A must if glass bottles are used. If steam is used on glass bottles 2) Better control of the temperature of the milk because you can take the bottle in and out & test it on your wrist as needed. With bottle warmers that use steam 3) After burping the baby 4) Amount of time required to heat the bottle is just right. Start warming the bottle (on setting #3) before changing the baby's diaper 5) Always have the bottle warmer's water level at the same level as the milk for the most efficient warming. Setting #3 is almost always used. Haven't figured out the function of setting #2 yet. But Setting #1 (the lowest heat) is great to slowly warm & maintain the correct temperature of the milk. For example Disadvantages: 1) Stagnant water in the bottle warmer needs to be changed 2) Sometimes when refilling the water (so the the water is at the same level as the milk) 3) Bottle is wet when taking it out of the bottle warmer. Solution: Keep a small towel available to wipe the bottle dry."

The whole point of having this bottle warmer is to make your life CONVENIENT. Because let's face it, a container of hot water will do the job just as well. Tired moms and dads are willing to pay for convenience and anything to make life easier when caring for a baby. Unfortunately 1. when you turn the unit on 2. the on/off switch is in the back of the unit 3. If you get distracted (which can be easy to do when you're caring for an infant) and leave the bottle in too long Bottom line: Don't waste your money."

I bought this with a bit of wariness. I wasn't sure if I would use it. But baby and I are upstairs at night, and the idea of coming downstairs to warm up a bottle in the middle of the night is not appealing. I know for a fact it's not appealing because that is exactly what I did with baby #1. By the time the bottle was back upstairs and in baby #1's mouth, it would be about an hour before she was sleepy enough to go back to sleep. With the bottle warmer, life is much better (and I'm not saying that lightly). I make the bottle, warm it up for a minute, and she generally never gets to that Wide Awake place that takes forever to end. We both get better sleep, and I really feel like a big part of it is the bottle warmer. I have not tried other brands, but this one for under $40 works well with all of the bottles we own, seems to heat evenly (I shake it up a bit before feeding), and the light that goes off when the bottle is warm is really helpful -- no loud beeps in the night. I do have to make sure there is enough water in the holding container if I want to get the bottle to a nice temperature, but other than my own failing memory, this product does it all for me. Two baby thumbs up. :)

It heats the bottles evenly. That's good enough for me. Improvements needed: Power switch should be placed on the front instead of the back with a clear ON OFF marking. I never know when it's on or off b/c the switch is in the rear and the plastic dial in the front is really dinky and cheap. At 3AM with a baby in one arm and a bottle in the other, I don't wanna be searching and fumbling with dinky switches all around the thing, which by the way, holds HOT water. Outside of its less than friendly user interface, it does heat the bottle evenly. Sometimes you just go with the best choice available.

I ordered this bottle warmer for my husband who has our little one 2 nights a week when I have to work. Those two nights are the only times she gets bottles. My husband started out waking up with the baby, heading downstairs, warming a cup of water in the microwave, then setting the bottle in the hot water for a few minutes. The first month I went back to work, he was more exhausted than I was from his 2 nights a week. He didn't complain, or breakdown and heat the bottle up in the microwave directly. I read the reviews and ordered this as a father's day gift for him. He was a little weary at first, but after his first weekend, he was so happy I did. He said it was so much easier on him and the baby. because everything could be kept upstairs it eliminated a trip downstairs in the middle of the night, and shaved off some valuable minutes when a hungry baby is waking up. He states it is very easy to use. You add water, place the bottle in a turn the machine on. The bottle is heated evenly through in just a few short minutes. There is no loud alarm, and the light is bright enough to notice, but not so bright to have that glare in sleepy eyes. He take a cooler upstairs at the end of the night with a bottle for the middle of the night, and one for the morning before I get home. He sets up his water, and plugs the machine in. He says this has been a life saver for him. I can attest that he is in a much better mood in the morning and neither of them are grumpy after their nights together. Worth every penny I spent.

First of all, you need a bottle warmer. Because when the quantity of milk or food grows with your baby reaching 6 oz or more, a typical kettle and jar will take too long. Plus if you want to heat things coming out of the freezer you will really suffer without a bottle warmer because you can't use a microwave. So do get a bottle warmer. I have this warmer and it has a few flaws: 1. Cord is too short 2. It does not switch off. It keeps going on and on and on and if you have an absent mind like me you will come back to find the milk overheated. 3. There are not levels. The button with three levels is totally useless. To me it is like having one level only (as I don't feel the difference between the three). 4. It's not deep enough for long bottles when baby is older. Even when my baby was young and I used to warm the medela freezer bottles Overall I got another bottle warmer from AVent: the IQ digital bottle warmer and this is much better as it doesn't have most of the flaws of the above except the short code. I do recommend the IQ digital warmer. You pay a little more but get something useful."

I like this product a lot - my baby takes 2-3 ounces at a time right now and the avent warmer does teh job in 1-2 minutes. i like a lot of mom's on my birth boards thought i was a waste of money. CoMpared to the other methods of heathing i.e. 1) Running it under hot water under the faucet which wastes a LOT of water and is waaay too slow and annoying to do with a hungry baby on one hand 2)Boiling water in a bowl and sticking the bottle in there till it warms up enough again with a hungry baby on one hand is not only annoying buy also dangerous coz were dealing with an open container of boiling water. i didn't need this item to have an IQ i just needed it to heat up my baby's bottle with one push of a button and done. I love this product. Won't say its absolutely indespensible but definately makes life easier!"

For busy moms, it is essential that a heating unit be designed to shut off for safety's sake! More than a few times I have returned to the kitchen and found that either my husband or myself forgot to flip the off switch and the remaining water is steaming away. Don't know what would happen if it gets to the point in which there is no water left... Also The only thing this unit does well is heat water. You have to do the rest."

  • Title: Love this product!

Absolutely love this bottle warmer! I take it with me everywhere. Makes feeding so much easier when you go out to restaurants, malls, etc because you just add water, plug it in, and boom! You dont have to worry about running your bottles under hot water (some places don't even HAVE hot water- just warm. And that does not do the trick.) It's small enough that it fits in my diaper bag and is very light and easy to use. HIGHLY recommend it to any body who wants to make their life easier while they are out and about with a hungry baby. It's a BARGAIN for the price. Can't tell you how many times I've had to walk into mutliple places to try and warm my screaming baby's bottle. I keep this warmer ready on my night stand- water in it and all. When my baby wakes up, I flip on the switch, grab the bottle and in about 2-4 minutes (depending on how warm you prefer it) I usually don't wait for the light to go off- it's done! So to sum it up 1.) It's SMALL and LIGHT. Fits anywhere. 2.) All you do is add a small amount of water (after placing the bottle in- otherwise it can overflow) and plug it in 3.) There is a little light that shuts off when the bottle is ready to let you know its done 4.) Very easy to clean (not that you really need to clean it often) 5.) The water stays very warm for a while even after you turn it off CONS I really cannot think of any- I mean.... people complain about it not having a timer? Come on people- what else could you ask for? You're not having to run to the kitchen to boil water It's super simple."

I used to microwave water in my coffee mug, then put the cold bottle in the mug, and repeat that 3-4 times until the bottle got up to room temp. All the while, baby's started to cry because he's hungry and I've started to panic. Now, with this bottle warmer, I just put in the cold bottle, go change baby's diaper and by the time I've put on baby's bib, the bottle's ready! Love it. Especially in the middle of the night, it saves me so much time.

  • Title: NOT CONVENIENT AT ALL!

Two major design flaws with this product: 1. This stupid bottle warmer does not have a timer and it asks yourself to keep track of the time. I thought it has a temperature control that it will keep warm when the right temp is reached. Well it does 2. The indicating light is stupid Anyway

  • Title: We love it so much, we bought a second one!

This warmer heats up quickly and does the job beautifully. The light flicks on & off indicating when it's heating and when it's holding. You do need to check the bottle & shake it to distribute the heat, but you have to with any warming method. We actually put a second one in our master bath when our son was newborn and sleeping in our room; that way we didn't have to go downstairs to warm the bottle while he nursed. Now, the warmer is in his room for the morning bottle. When he starts eating breakfast downstairs we will retire it, it has earned it's keep! Be sure to clean it out regularly, the water can get funky otherwise.

  • Title: Fire hazard! Read before purchasing, please!!

So we have used this bottle warmer for over 8 months now. I have to say, with all the sleep deprived parents using this item, often in the middle of the night, you would think that Avent would be wise enough to put an auto-shut-off feature on this little doohickey. But, no. I exclusively feed my baby breastmilk, and that stuff is like "liquid gold" (from what everyone has told me, and I'm inclined to agree), and I can't even tell you how often I have put a bottle in the warmer to warm it and then forgot it was in there for like 15 minutes. The milk gets boiling hot in that time, and then it's useless and I have to pour it out because it's not supposed to be heated to boiling. I know people are probably going to read this and wonder how one could forget that they put a bottle in the warmer, but now that our baby is sleeping through the night, it's more for when my husband is giving her a bath, I will get the bottle ready for him as he gives her a bottle after her bath and puts her to bed (his time with her during the week). So many times I have forgotten it was in there and burned the milk, but also - and this is the really dangerous part - the light will shut off for like 30 seconds at a time (what they call "blinking", if you can believe that), and so often it will look like it's turned off when there is no bottle in it, but it isn't, and it will just keep heating the water in there until it's all gone. We have found it on after a couple of hours away from it because we didn't notice the "blinking" light because it was off at the time, and there is no other indication that it's on from the front. The switch is on the back and it's not clearly marked "on/off" either. I can't imagine how it hasn't caught fire for other people or melted the plastic when the water is all gone. Thankfully, I have noticed it before the water was completely gone, but it was almost gone. How unsafe! Anyway, I still use it because I haven't found one with an auto-off feature, but will be looking for one. I have to set the timer on my microwave now whenever I put a bottle in because half of my brain cells disappeared when my baby was born apparently, and I'm way too distracted to remember it's on. BAD DESIGN!!!

We got this to warm my sons bottles while I am at work. We didn't like it at all. It took 4 tries to warm the refrigerated bottle to lukewarm, which he didn't like. There seems to be no point to the setting 1, so why have it on there at all? We also didn't like the idea that it had no automatic off, since I have a 3 year old at home, I can't always run to the warmer immediately when it's done. It also needed an audible alert to a warm bottle. Again, I don't have time to babysit it. We returned it immediately, and I am looking for the old style avent warmer, which worked perfectly, I don't know why they ever changed it.

  • Title: ez use and safe

I heard this item from my friend in England when her boy was born over ten year ago, she is still using it to warm milk during the winter. Can you believe it could last this long? I bought one for my son and we love it, not just the affective warming speed, but also the safety issue. It happened somethimes we forget to turn it off after using, so the water dryout from the container(it will keep warm until you turn it off), we were freak out but it is just still work fine until now. My friend told me hers as well, it's very safe and useful, so I bought another one for my other friend for the new born baby. Believe she will use it for another 10 years.

  • Title: Agree- fire hazard

I usually don't write reviews but I've decided to write one for this bottle warmer since it is a real fire hazard. It doesn't turn off. After it goes through one cycle, it turns off briefly and then starts a new cycle. There is no timer. You wouldn't believe how many times we scalded milk and just forgot to turn this off when we went for a walk. Once the water evaporates, it becomes a fire hazard. I really think there should be a timer - you are so sleep deprived with newborns that the last thing you need is to remember to turn off the bottle warmer.

  • Title: So much more than a bottle warmer!

I received this warmer as an unsolicited present from my mother with Baby #1. It really does take the guesswork out of warming bottles, especially since you can't just zap them in the microwave (dangerous hot spots!). But with Baby #2, I had the brilliant idea of keeping my peri bottle in it those first weeks' post-partum. Not only did it completely eliminate the shock of cleansing stitches and sensitive tissue with lukewarm water, we used it for cleaning Baby #2's bottom, which really made those newborn diaper changes much more pleasant for him. Now, with Baby #3 on the way, I was going to register for it again (we thought we were done and cleaned out most of our baby gear), even though I'm now a stay-at-home mom and plan on nursing 100%, simply to have a peri bottle warm and ready for both of us. I cannot express my delight when I discovered it in my "grandparent box" this morning!

  • Title: Quick and Convenient

The bottle warmer works as advertised. It's important to follow the instructions, as it will overheat the milk if you leave it warming. It is a lot more convenient than trying to warm with hot tap water or using a pan which will take longer to heat up than this does to warm the milk. This way I can just get it started, then tend to the baby to calm him until it's warm, and then a few seconds and he's comfortably sucking away!

  • Title: ABSOLUTELY USELESS

I would like to to be aware that this product is just the heating element with heats the reservoir of water at three different speeds. That is it! And you will pay for it $40! You can use the hot water warmed up in the regular electric kettle and warm your bottle in that water for free!!! If you use Avent bottle warmer you will have to watch very closely the temperature in the bottle manually using the trial and error method. The timing guidelines provided by the manufacturer are wrong and you will wind out with the bottle of scalding milk. The product is lacking the shut of feature and does not regulate temperature of the milk in the bottle. I feel very bad spending so much money for this piece of ... (you can fill the blank).

Using hot water to warm bottles was taking too long, and ten minutes of screaming to get a tepid bottle wasn't worth it. We tried boiling water on the stove to put the water in but that took the same amount of time waiting for the water to boil and then the bottle to heat up. Finally we got this because we have the Avent bottles, and bottles are warmed to the right temperature in under 5 minutes. My big complaint is that it only indicates the bottle is done by flashing a light. Well That complaint aside

With a fussy baby & using a bowl of hot water to warm bottles, buying this product saves time & stress for everybody around. It takes less than 4 minutes for the 3 oz that my little man eats. The light flashing is a slow flash. It'll flick off for about 30 seconds & then turns back on. It's not a big deal I don't know why there are three heat settings I like that it is so compact! I thought it'd be bigger but I'm glad it's not because it fits pretty much anywhere. My nightstand isn't too big so this will be very convenient when we go to bed. Other reviewers have indicated they wanted a timer but I find that when my baby is crying for food I don't have any trouble remembering that the bottle is done. :) I now use it to warm up baby food that's frozen or refrigerated so it's not quite so chilly and it works great for that also."

Yes it is compact and you don't have to measure the water you put in, just ensure that it isn't above the level of the bottle or jar to be heated. However there are way too many issues: 1) The instructions indicate what setting to use for different scenarios but there is no audible alert to let you know the bottle is ready and - unlike the product description - the indicator light DOES NOT flash when the bottle is ready. We have to use the microwave timer to alert us. 2) Once the bottle is ready the warming function does not turn itself off which means if it takes you a minute to get back to the warmer the bottle is now too hot 3) There are three heat settings but no indications as to why you would use one of those settings. 4) My unit came fresh out of the sealed package with some lime scale build up already in place and when I poured water into the unit for its first use two bugs floated up. Gross! I have since looked at other warmers but after reading reviews about milk hot spots

Very easy to use - if you want the bottle warmed quickly, turn her up to level three and pop the bottle in. 4 minutes and you are golden. If you want a slower warm (say for instance your baby is starting to stir but you think you may have 20 minutes or so until she is in an all out hunger cry) then you can set it to 1 or 2 and let the bottle warm slowly. This warmer fits wide neck bottles and standard bottles. I use it with Dr. Browns bottles and it works well."

It works as it should. Warms bottle nicely. My only complaint is that is has an "on/off" switch it back but you still have to unplug it when you aren't using it. That's frustrating.

Warms perfect only problem there is no auto shut off, I cant say how many times we walked away with the water steaming away and catching it just before there was a bit left in the bottom

  • Title: needs a buzzer or bell to let you know when the time is up

does a good job but if you are not aware that the light has gone off, indicating that the bottle is ready, it will overheat the milk. Needs a timer bell or buzzer to notify you when the milk is ready.

  • Title: Good warmer

Pros: heats up quickly, adjustable temperature, sturdy so not easy to knock over (unless you are adamant on trying to do this), using 6 months now with no problems, so far not electrocuted when water accidentally spilled out Cons: if filling bottle with >4.5 oz of milk Conclusion: all in all good product

  • Title: No automatic shut off

This is the ALMOST-PERFECT bottle warmer, EXCEPT that it doesn't have an auto shut-off feature. It heats very quickly, but if one forgets to take it out after a couple of minutes, the bottle gets really, really hot. The on/off switch does not make it clear which is off and which is on, and it's somewhat inconveniently located on the back of the unit; it would be great if the heat knob and on/off switch were on the same side. It might be easier to remember to turn it off. A 5 min. shut off feature would make it perfect. It will heat a larger bottle, but you'll need to shake it more often to mix the heated milk in the bottom of the bottle with that on the top. Despite these "issues," I love this bottle warmer.

I am 100% satisfied with this product. It was a reasonable price and works efficiently. Have heated both bottled food and milk in it with no complaints.

This warmer is a glorified crockpot. It heats water, and continues to get hotter, until you turn it off. That is all that it does. We have been using it for about 2 months, and it went out on us. Will be buying another warmer, but not this one.

  • Title: Awesome

We use Playtex Drop Ins so I was hesistant to purchase. My daycare told me it worked for them. After much research, I found that it works perfectly within 4-5 mins on setting #2 with the drop ins. Wish we wouldnt have waited so long to buy. Also have no problem with keeping it clean. Every few weeks I just drain the water and wipe it out and allow it to dry completely while we are at work for the day. Never a problem! The only thing I wish it had was a timer!

  • Title: Like this bottle warmer

Before getting this bottle warmer we had to waste lots of water while making the formula. But now the job is done very easily with very less water. It works great but the only thing is you have to keep testing the temperature of the formula on your hand so that it wont become too hot. But once you know by what time the formula reaches the right temperature, it becomes even easier.

Not the worst bottle warmer I've tried, but definitely not a good one. In fact, just for my own info, I boiled water on the stove at the same time as I heated a bottle with this warmer. Boiling water was faster. Can also be a burn hazard should the water in the warmer be spilled.

  • Title: Works great!

I bought this bottle warmer to put in our master bathroom to warm up my son's bottles in the middle of the night. It doesn't take up a lot of space which is great since it's next to the bathroom sink. It's extremely easy to use. You simply turn it on, set it to the right temperature based on the size of the bottle, put the bottle in, make sure there's water surrounding the bottle and wait. Within 4 minutes or less your bottle will be nice and warm. If you're using glass Avent bottles, keep in mind that the bottle will feel extremely hot (keep a towel near by to remove the bottle and avoid getting burned) however the milk won't be as hot.

  • Title: Good Product

I use this to heat milk bottles. It works great and I am glad I have it. The downside to it is that there is no timer and the water surrounding the bottle does get very hot. I empty the water out and unplug it after every use. I have calculated the time to heat the milk and set a timer. Otherwise, it is easy to get the milk too hot.

  • Title: very dissapointing, don't buy this

First of all this does heat water....but so does my coffee maker, microwave, or stove. Since heating water is literally the ONLY feature this product has, its pretty dissapointing as a bottle warmer. Problems listed below. 1. No temperature control. You turn it on and it continues to make your bottle hotter and hotter. It does not turn off automatically when your bottle is warmed; in fact it doesn't even have a timer at all 2. You're supposed to fill with water to just above the level of milk or formula. But with the bottle in you cant see the water level and of course its not transparent and there's no window. While not a deal breaker on its own 3. There's three heat settings on the unit So basically this will heat your bottle

  • Title: What is that dial for?

This bottle warmer is pretty bare bones. The instructions are thin, for all warming it says to set the dial to 3 (MAX). Why is there a dial if I'm only supposed to set it to MAX? It doesn't have a timer, it doesn't ding or flash when it's ready. You have to time it yourself. On the plus side it warms evenly and it's cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. If I had it to do all over again I would have spent a little more money and bought something that at least turns itself off."

  • Title: Very Useful

I would like a multi feature setting with a time on the warmer that could let you know when the bottle was done. It'd would be better with automatic power down when the time was up as well. Other than that, very good product.

  • Title: Good could be better

Great product. Would be better with a shut off timer as during the middle of the night you don't always remember to turn things off, lol. Also it is a pain if you want to heat more than 3 oz at a time. We did end up buying Dr Browns as it has a shut off and you can program different heating times. However the avent will be better for heating baby food jars.

  • Title: HATE IT-find something friendly to your baby!

While when you put the bottle there, you have to aware that warmer won't heat your milk perfectly as the warmer don't have any temperature control. After you take the bottle out better shake well, otherwise might be still cold....plus there is no window for the water level. This very low tech warmer will bring your trouble, really hard to control the temp & if you don't switch it off will dry out the water, kind of dangerous! You will be very disappointed if you buy such product for your baby
