  • Title: love this brush

I love this bottle brush and use it to clean Dr. Brown bottles, the narrow kind. It fits the bottle neck better and when you pull it out, water doesn't splash everywhere like with the thicker Munchkin brush. Would highly recommend it. Just wish there was a way to to stick it to the countertop with a suction cup like the Munchkin brush, but therefore it has the hard plastic cleaner at the end for nipples which I like too.

I give 5 stars to all Avent Products. I have had no problems, whatsoever, with Avent.

I use this brush with the Medela bottles. The bristles fit inside no problem, and it cleans all around including the base! Love this brush. And there are no metal parts to rust.

  • Title: The Best Bottle Brush!!

We had this brush for almost 15 months now, it still in good shape. Don't waste your money on those 99 cents or $1.99 bottle brushes, they just not going to last more than 30 days. Plus the cheap brushes don't have enough bristle density to clean bottles well. Got the Avent brush at a local store, paid more than $4, if I remember correctly. Definitely the best $4 or $5 we ever spent on a baby item. We will continue to use this item beyond bottle washing, it would be good for washing mugs, wine glasses.... Very well built brush.

  • Title: Fantastic

2 babies, 18m and 4m. Used lots of brushes already. Bought this one because of the reviews, and I'm glad I did. Wife loves it. I love it. Much easier to use than older brushes... Bristle actually reach into nooks and crannies, don't break off, and don't stain. Also works well on the nooks and crannies of my traveling coffee cup. Don't tell the wife. *smirk* She likes this brush so much

Finally a bottle brush that fits easily into the medela breast pumping bottles and doesn't fall apart after a couple uses.

  • Title: The Best Bottle Brush -- Period.

I don't have any particular preference for Avent's bottles or other products in general, but I used this Avent bottle brush at a friend's house and immediately went out and got my own. I can't imagine ever again using one of those spiral deals with the wire down the middle... *shudder* Get this brush and get on with your dishes.

  • Title: I tossed all others!

This is simply the best bottle brush I have found- period. It doesn't have that foam stuff that gets germy and falls apart. additionally, it is easy to use and easy to clean. The only thing I wish was done a little differently is the end of the handle of the brush. It has some texture to it to supposedly clean the nipple of a bottle, but I find that it doesn't work so well for that. I end up using a nipple brush to get those really clean and wish that the textured end of the brush had bristles or something else. Even with that said, it is still better than the other brushes I have found.

  • Title: Best bottle Brush

Best bottle brush ever. The others all have foam that doesn't scrub and falls apart quickly. My baby is 6 months old and I only had to buy a replacement because I left mine at my mothers house on vacation. Tried others in the interim. None cleaned very well and only lasted a few weeks at best.

  • Title: Should be your No.1 Choice!

This is absolutely PERFECT! It is the perfect size - not too big, not too small- and handles beautifully , fits and cleans not just Avent but Medela and standard size bottles. The brush tip is curved and cleans the bottom curves of bottles perfectly. The bristles are soft enough to clean well and aren't stiff like other brushes that scratch bottles and splash water all over the place. I love that its made of plastic and doesn't rust, and is dishwasher safe. I also like the calm blue color. There is absolutely no reason NOT to buy this brush, even the price is great!

  • Title: so good we bought another one...

I bought this for me and the wife to use washing our baby's bottles and my wife's breast pump and supplies. It's built well - very sturdy - and has held up really well. The bristles are very soft and mold to reach all the nooks and crannies of the bottles. The tip of the other end can get up into the ends of the nipples to clean them out as well. Is it wrong that I feel funny using the word nipple in a review? :-) Anyway We're happy with the performance so far - if anything changes I will make an update..."

  • Title: The only one you need

Really, this is the only bottle brush you need. I went thru 2 or 3 in the first few months when my twins were born, but they broke and/or rusted quickly. This brush? Still perfect after 9 months. Works w/almost any bottle too, not just Avent.

  • Title: Is there such a thing as a 5 Star Bottle Brush?

I don't feel like I can give this five stars, but I guess it is better than the one that came with my drying rack. It has bristles at the bottom and they work well at cleaning. Maybe we don't use enough bottles to really appreciate the value of this bottle brush, but I would recommend it. I'm just wondering how much I paid for this one and if that was worth it.

I have been looking for this bottle brush for years, I've just been to lazy to actually look for it on line. I don't even have any babies in the house, but this is the best brush for dishes! My father in law loves it too, so this will be tucked into his stocking this year. Woo Hoo! So happy I can replace the one I have (my babies are 6 now LOL).

  • Title: The only brush that should be used on Avent Bottles

No other bottle brush cleaned the Avent bottles like this one did. It is curved at the tip perfectly to fit the curves of the bottles. The spiral end cleans the inside of the nipples well also without much effort. Each to hold and lasts a long time.

  • Title: Good brush

  • Title: Cleans the bottles not the nipples

I was disappointed in this Avent product. It cleans the bottles really well but I also use a Medela breast pump and this brush just does not manuever into the smaller spaces and it will not reach into the tip of a nipple. The bottom of the brush that is to be used for the nipple does not clean it either, it's very ackward.

  • Title: Great Brush!

Love this bottle brush! It has lasted much longer than any of the other bottle brushes I've tried. I also like that the nipple cleaner on the end is attached, and not a separate piece that you have to take in and out and gets all rusty. Love this brush!!

  • Title: Much better than sponge brushes.

I've had this brush for a couple of months and it looks exactly the same as the day I bought it. Sponge brushes quickly deteriorate--lasting far less time than this durable brush already has. I really can't find a disadvantage to it. If I had to find one thing that I didn't just love, it would be the smooth, narrow grip. I would prefer a thicker, perhaps rubber, non-slip grip, BUT this brush's narrow end was designed to clean nipples which really makes it even more practical (I just happen not to use that feature).

  • Title: Durable brush but leaves scratches on bottles

I love that this brush is the most durable you can find in the market. It gets the job done by cleaning the Avent bottles well (but not the nipples). Aside from the fact that the it doesn't clean the nipples well, another drawback is that it scratches the inner surface of the bottles. Scratches will be evident from the first use of this brush in a brand new bottle. I wish they do something about this, because there isn't any other brush I would like to use.

  • Title: Bent bristles

I've had this brush for 3 months and disappointed that the top bristles are already warped. I don't know how this happened and use it once a day. It was fine in the dishwasher. Other than this issue, I like the brush for Medela, Avent and Born Free bottles.

  • Title: Works!

This bottle brush has worked just as I hoped. It is quite large, though not particularly larger than any other bottle brushes I considered. It is quite sturdy, and I appreciate that it is BPA free. My favorite part is the nubby end opposite the bristles. It is especially effective at cleaning bottle nipples. It also cleans CamelBak BPA-Free Better Bottle with Bite Valve

  • Title: Dirty nipples...

The brush is great for the most part. Unlike traditional brushes, this one doesn't bend. The bristles are thick and clean well. Unfortunately, the brush doesn't clean the nipples very well. The bristles can't get in there very well. Otherwise, very happy with it!

  • Title: Great but NOT for Dr. Brown accessories

This brush is great for bottles because it can withstand alot of brushing. However, all my bottles are Dr. Brown's (12 of them) and this brush is too big for the vent tubes. So if you have non-venting bottles, this brush is great. But for Dr. Brown's bottles, look for smaller brush.

  • Title: Great brush end, handle needs work

The bristles on this bottle brush are great. They are gentle on my baby's bottles and get them sparkling clean. However, I find the handle somewhat uncomfortable to hold. The end of it has ridges to clean out nipples, but I don't think it does too well. All in all, I would recommend this product. It's the third bottle brush I've bought and my favorite one so far.

  • Title: Excellence

The Philips AVENT bottle brush is the third brush we've owned in the past four months. It far exceeds the usability and durability of the others. Do not buy a bottle brush with a twisted-wire handle. These invariably bend The Phillips brush fits all the bottles we own and the handle allows one to thoroughly brush the corners. The handle shape also fits the hand quite well."

  • Title: They have the right idea, but...

This is the bottle brush we have settled for as we have used many during our baby's first year. As that year is almost over, we will not have to use a bottle brush for too much longer. We started with the bottle brush that came with the First Year's Breastflow starter pack, which was the best-designed one overall but it, just like all of the wire ones, will rust out and fall apart. That is what we liked about this one: it's made of plastic and will not rust out. This bottle brush would be perfect if it wasn't for the useless nipple cleaner end of it. I'm not sure what that's supposed to be, but it doesn't look to be real useful. If they put bristles on that end, it would be perfect. My advice is to get a plastic bottle brush so it doesn't rust, but perhaps there might be a better one than this one.

  • Title: LOVE THIS BRUSH FOR ALL BOTTLES!!

We LOVE this brush and boy have we tried them all. My baby was very particular and we ended up trying most bottle brands and their corresponding brushes over a 2 month period. This is the best brush hands down! It holds up well, 8 mo and counting. We just purchased a second one for traveling. We currently use it with the Dr. Brown's bottles but like I said, it works with pretty much all of them. It also has a nice plastic hard case for the brush head which is nice for keeping it germ-free. Definitely one of my better baby purchases. Plus you can't beat the price, thanks Amazon!

  • Title: Not impressed

My search for the perfect bottle brush continues after puchasing this brush. I selected this brush because it had both the brush and nipple cleaner in one piece. However, the bristles are too soft to get pieces clean, the nipple cleaner is not useful (how does hard plastic get bottle and breast pump parts clean?) and the handle is too big to fit into the breast shields and other pump parts. I have wound up sticking with my Munchkin brush for bottles which also has its flaws (handle does not fit into parts and the nipple brush rusted) and the Nuby nipple brush for parts (the bottle brush part with the sponge on the end is not useful). Someone please create a bottle brush with these attributes: bristle stiffness of the Munchkin bottle brush, non-rusting nipple brush which is attached to the handle like the Avent brush, and a handle narrow enough to fit into breast shields! Thanks.

I scoured the internet to find the perfect bottle brush. I tried several and they were all poorly made and fell apart too quickly. Then, I got this brush and love it! I used it to clean my Medela bottles I love this brush though and would recommend it to everyone. It gets into the narrow necks of the Medela bottles and easily reaches the bottom. It cleans out the narrow bend on the collar of my Playtex bottles. When my baby stops using bottles I'll still use it for coffee tumbles

I have bought different kind of brushes from Target, Walmart and amazon.com. This brush design is the best. It won't splash on your face when you brush hard on the baby bottle. It cleans very very well. However, if you want to wash nipple only; you need to buy a addition different brush for nipple.

When I got pregnant I did lots and lots of research- carseats, strollers, breast pumps, bottles....Never thought about researching bottle brushes! When my son was born I broke out the classic brush. With the foam on the end and the nipple brush on the other. After a week of scrubbing bottles and breast pump supplies it was falling apart. On to the next one in my stash. After about a month and 4 brushes. I dug out this one. It came with the starter kit I had received as a gift. 5 1/2 months later it is still in awesome condition! Works AWESOME on my breast pump supplies! LOVE it. I use it for his plates, spoons, pacifiers, teethers, everything that is his! I am only buying another as back up. Just in case! But beware. I caught my husband scrubing veggies with it the other day! Maybe I should buy 2..... My only gripe is the nipple brush. It is textured but I wish it had some of those fabulous bristles on the end. Other than that it is unbeatable! Def. worth the 4 bucks!

  • Title: Why couldn't I have found you sooner my love?

So, some worthwhile good advice? I say try this brush. We use first years breastflow bottles with soothie nipple, one tiny wal mart bottle and the rest are playtex ventaire which I love. This brush works well on ALL the parts, and if you've used ventaire you know you have 4 things to wash with each bottle. The thing with this advent brush is the brush itself is REALLY nice and sturdy, no flimsy crap there and weirdly the end is twisted with ridges for nipple cleaning, when I first saw it I was very much hesitant to think anything without bristles would clean nipples, but this thing works. Please, I've bought SO MANY DAMN Brushes!! Just save time and buy the advent one. IT's WELL MADE and so much less stress, I think it actually helps me clean faster too. I also think it produces more suds when scrubbing. Seriously

  • Title: so far, best of 5 brush types i've tried

Like many moms, I've tried different types of cleaning brushes and came across the great reviews here. Others with sponge tips are great, but the wire in the middle will scratch the bottom of the bottle and not get as clean as the bristles on this brush. The bristles are not stiff where I have to push hard into or pull out of the bottles and the tip is curved to grab the bottom middle of the bottle. The bristles are also soft enough to not scratch the plastic bottles. I have not used the small end for nipple tips because i doubt it'll get that cleaned very well. I use a bristled one from another old cleaning brush for that (plus my little clean pinky to make sure it's squeaky clean). The material used for the bristles feel as though they will lost a lot longer than the sponge/bristle brushes. I'm very pleased with my purchase and will be ordering more from amazon (its cheaper than the baby stores that carry it--if free shipping is involved). But I think that won't be for a while.

  • Title: Love the brush, foams well

I got this in a 'bundle' with the bottles from Avent, I think this is the best item from the pack. The brush itself is dense enough that it foams well and holds the suds. Whereas placing soap directly on other bristle brushes will yield nothing, this foams itself because of the density of the bristles. It has a larger 'head' so it would seem like it wouldn't fit in the smaller, non-wide neck, bottles but it does! It snuggly fits into the Evenflo classic glass bottles we have as well as the ready made formula bottles we got from the hospital. The bristles will end up contracting when removing it from the smaller necked bottles so we need to be careful and point it into the sink so the excess soap will flick into it instead of everywhere. I do use the smaller side to help clean the nipples but sometimes still use a smaller bristle nipple brush (one I got from another bottle brush) on occasion. One of the better things with this brush is that the body is one piece made out of plastic instead of a metal brush which often rusts or scratches the plastic bottles if you apply to much pressure when cleaning the bottom of the bottle. And considering that even BPA-free plastic bottles still seem release chemicals that mimic estrogen and who knows what you can scratch off those bottle bottoms

  • Title: Far better than sponge brushes

This is so much cleaner and useful than my old sponge-tipped bottle brush. The bristles are soft, but still give you cleaning power. It fits well into any bottle... I only wish the thin end also had some bristles to give more friction inside nipples.

  • Title: I love the simplicity of this product

I have tried countless bottle brushes and all of them have flaws here and there. mostly its the nipple brush that screws in the bottom that drives me up the wall! they malfunction the entire product and make it impossible to use. Not with this brush! this bottle brush just flips right over and WHAM I can dig in those hard to reach crevices. I find this brush universal as well. If I wanted to use it for something else I wouldnt be confined to just having it be for bottles. When its time to switch out my bottle brushes I use them to clean the mat that goes in my shower because the suction cups get mildewy. this brush has held up and has awesome scrubbing power that is still gentle and not abbrasive. I will be purchasing this one from now on for my bottle cleaning!"

2 kids and a trillion bottles, sippy cups, thermoses later this has been the only brush to last staying in our "sponge bowl" for longer than a month (it's actually lasted longer than a year!). all the other brushes i've purchased have "died" after a month of repeated use. FYI - ANYTHING with a spongy part will fall apart period. the ones where the bristles are twisted around metal? the bristles permanently bend after repeated use and the metal starts scratching the inside of the bottles. the ones that are compacted/layered meshy fabric? bacteria farm - especially if you're CONSTANTLY washing bottles/pump parts - it never really gets a chance to dry out except at night. what i love: narrow head means it can go into narrow-mouthed bottles - the millions i used while pumping breastmilk for both kids. no when ours finally wears down - i'll get a replacment because it's the perfect size to wash our narrow-mouthed coffee/tea thermoses!"

  • Title: Almost completely functional

While advertised for Avent bottles, this brush also works well for the narrower Ameda and Medela bottles as well. There are only two problems. First, the nipple cleaner component isn't all that useful -- you'll probably want to buy a separate nipple brush, especially if you also want a smaller scrubber to clean breast pump parts. Second, it would be nice if the brush had a stand. That being said, it does the job and is easier to keep clean than the sponge brushes.

  • Title: Very good product

Pros: This bottle brush is far sturdier than any other sold on the market today, short of buying a lab grade all stainless steel brush from a scientific/medical supply chain. The bristles are rigid enough to reach those pesky corners and edges that many baby products have. The nipple cleaner end is more gimmicky than truly useful. Cons: The handle could be an inch or so longer Conclusion: If this brush ever breaks

  • Title: Best brush yet

I've tried dozens of bottle brushes and most of them developed rust over time. This brush has been the best we've used - the bristles are soft so it doesn't splatter soap all over the place when you take it out of a baby bottle but stiff enough for effective cleaning. The nipple cleaner is so-so. We haven't figured out a good way of storing it while not in use though.

  • Title: It does clean the nipple, and really well.

People have claimed that it doesn't clean the nipple, but they're just not using it right. I use a combination of sponge and brush to wash bottle and nipples, since brushes alone simply don't hold much soap. I wash most of the nipple with a sponge, and then I use the narrow, hard-plastic end to clean the inside of the nipple. It has ridges on it to help clean the nipple, and I usually give about 5 twists, while rotating and pressing on the outside of the nipple. (This is not as complex as it sounds. I suspect most people would develop this exact same technique unconsciously.) The nipple sparkles afterwards. The brush does reach the inside corners of the bottles I use (Avent and Medela). I do acknowledge

  • Title: Great for cleaning Kongs!

I'm sorry to do this to all the loving parents cleaning their children's bottles with this brush, but after reading a few reviews on various brushes and just kinda eyeballing this one, I took a chance and bought it. I was tired of figuring out ways to clean our dog's Kong (large red). He gets peanut butter in it when he goes to bed in his crate (so a sorta bottle) and it would get stuck along the ridges inside. I tried being creative with various utensils in the kitchen but was never quite successful at getting all the PB out. When I first looked at this brush after opening the package I thought there was no way it was going to fit Note: We only use our Kong with peanut butter and do not use hard treats such as biscuits Anyway

  • Title: Awesome brush; for more than baby bottles!

I've had this brush for over 3 years now and it still looks new. I used it for all of my older son's baby bottles, then his sippy cups, then his straw bottles, and now his larger sport water bottles (like Nalgene; doesn't fit into Sigg). I use it for my younger son's straw bottles as well. Never any problem whatsoever. Not only does the brush get into all of those crevices that some multiple-part bottles have (usually under the cap) but it doesn't seem to harbor any mold The tip is very helpful for cleaning out baby bottles nipples. As any parent knows Finally This is a must-have item in my opinion for any kitchen catering to young children."

Bought the Munchkin bottle brush because it has a cool suction bottom that allows it to dry upright on the sink, but that is about as far as the good of it goes. The bristles don't even touch the sides of my bottles or the bottom! Found this item and did not hesitate to buy it. It is wonderful and leaves me wondering why all bottle brushes aren't designed like this!

Why, why, WHY people have rated this so high is BEYOND my reasoning capabilities. So far my husband and I have almost AVENT everything. This bottle brush looked different and as if it wouldn't clean so well so we didn't buy it. After going through THREE Munchkin bottle brushes because they fall apart after a few months of using we went back to this brush, read the raving reviews on it and thought to ourselves, "Why not? Let's go for it. It's AVENT and it has great reviews!" WRONG!! Granted Also I don't care if I have to buy a new Munchkin bottle brush every three months

I bought this based upon rave reviews. Bristles are nice and I can imagine that it would work well for Avent or other wide mouth bottles. I am using Lifefactory glass bottles that have ordinary bottle size mouths.(BTW,I love these bottles purchased from Amazon). This brush will not fit into the regular size bottle mouths.

  • Title: why is it so hard to buy a bottle brush?

I swear sometimes I think buying things on Amazon complicates things more than it should. I just wanted a bottle brush for my baby's bottles and my pump accessories. I don't have time to go the store (for anything really) so yippee, I can get it on Amazon. Easy Breezy, right? Wrong. I spent way more time than I should deciding how to spend six bucks. Suddenly, nipple brushes became of great importance to me. I don't remember why I finally decided on this brush. I think because it just looked cool and chic (and probably because my brain was going into paralysis). All the reviews I read about bottle brushes have melted together now. Now for why you are reading this review. Here is why I like this brush: 1. The bristles are soft but sturdy enough to scrub. 2. The nipple cleaner end is not a brush (it's just the a tapered end with some ridges on it) 3. For the mamas who think getting splattered when you pull the the brush out is the most awful thing ever 4. If you shove the brush end at the correct angle inside the nipple and squish the top few bristles in there 5. No metal parts The only thing I don't like: 1. This brush sucks for cleaning pump accessories...so It's a cool brush. Get it. It's just a few bucks. Your time is worth more than that. Don't get Amazon Review Syndrome."

  • Title: Simply HATE it!

Really don't know why it gets such high rate! The design is stupid leaving one side without bristle, so it takes at least twice as much work as other brush to clean up bottles. The handled is so slippery and so difficult to grab on. Its tale is supposed to clean up nipples but completely fails.Water got splashed everywhere when I used it for the first time and got soaked up. I won't use it again. I like other products of Avent but definitely not this one. I wanted to give Zero star if it is a rate.

I bought this brush because mine, a Munchkin brand with a sponge on top, lasted 2 weeks. When I saw this one I thought it was going to be too big but I can clean almost all my baby stuff with it. Bellow I give you a list of things I clean with it, as a reference: - Avent bottles - Playtex advance bottles - ""Medela Pump in Style"" milk storage bottles - Ameda electric pump milk storage bottles - Medela and Ameda ""pump breast cones"" (you need to push a tittle bit but it will go all the way to the end with the bigger size cones and almost to the end with the regular size cone) - Similac milk storage bottles - All the bottle nipples from the Avent and playtex bottles. - All parts of the Lansinoh manual pump. Some people complains about the other end of the brush The only little negative thing is that the bristels at the end of the brush bent a little bit and didn't return to the original position. Maybe I am too energenic cleaning my bottles..? :)"

So this brush works pretty well. I mainly use it for cleaning baby bottles. My one complaint about it would have to be how uncomfortable it is to hold compared to other bottle brushes I've used. The handle is somewhat narrow and made of hard plastic, add to this the nipple cleaner at the end of the handle (also made of hard plastic) and it makes for a very uncomfortable hold. The brush does seem to be lasting longer than oher brushes I've used (Dr. Brown) so overall I'm happy with it."

...that the brush I used to clean my sons baby bottles when he was an infant was still in service, 6 years later as my principal scrubber/bottle brush at the sink. I use it for glasses and bottles, our camelbak bottles, stainless bottles, etc. Between the hard nibbly end that can get into tight spots and the brush end, it makes for an easy clean. I'm pretty sure that none of the bristles have fallen out and the brush looks practically new. I'm trying hard to think of any other baby item I bought that it still in use today and still helpful. This is the best bottle brush I have ever owned. You can tell right away that it is a good quality brush unlike the others I have used that wear out within 2 weeks. I love the fact that it only has bristles on the bottom and one side so it doesn't get stuck in the bottle and splash all over the place. I noticed some reviewrs here weren't happy Witht the brush only having bristles on one side...then why buy it and give it a low rating? I also noticed some people complaining about getting splashed when removing the brush from the bottle...well heres a trick, turn the brush away from you or face down when removing the brush and that wont happen. Simple. The brush cleans my daughters bottle thoroughly and it doesn't seem cheap. Thats all I need. Perfect in my book. As for the nipple cleaner. I don't need the nipple cleaner.

  • Title: Love it for more than bottles - lasts forever!

I originally bought one of these brushes for my third baby to use in bottles occasionally (primarily breast-fed). Served me well through two more babies, then moved to full-time use at the kitchen sink, where it's served daily for the past THREE YEARS. I use it to wash my nice pots and pans with stick-resistant coating. It's soft enough to do no damage, washes things off easily, and has the perfect shape to go around the edge of a pan. I throw it in the dishwasher (lower rack basket) now and then for a good sanitizing. LOVE IT! Also works great for water bottles, vases, whatever. I use it constantly (as I hate nasty sponges), and it would still be in great shape if I hadn't decided to use it on the calcium build-up on the heating element of the dishwasher. Bad move, and I was really sad until I found it again here on Amazon. I expect this new one to live happily for a half a decade on my sink. You can't go wrong with this one!

i bought this brush to replace our previous bottle brush (Oxo) which a family member mistakenly used as a dish brush (gah!). this brush is terrible. the bristles are hard so there is absolutely no way to avoid spraying soap and water everywhere. also, the skinny handle made of slippery plastic makes it awkward to hold. i do NOT recommend this brush; my husband actually said that he "hated" this brush and he doesn't say that about too many things. we are going back to the Oxo, definitely a superior brush.

I bought this brush to replace an old bottle brush that had the foam on the end coming off. I figured it would be pretty average and that I'd probably be looking for a new brush in a few months, boy I was wrong! This brush is actually really soft but effective at cleaning. I've only used it for straw style sippy cups, but it does a great job cleaning out all the nooks and crannies and the "nipple" cleaning end is pretty good for wider straw openings. I'd imagine this would work great for bottles too. I make sure to ""sterilize"" the brush with boiling water often since it's coming into contact with my child's cups. I never use the brush for anything other than sippy cups and other kids dinnerware (""adult"" dishes have their own brush). So far

The Philips AVENT Bottle Brush has a thick cluster of bristles at the end which really help with scrubbing out the bottom of the bottles. I soak my bottles in a large bowl using a combo of vinegar, baking soda, and water after which I use the brush to clean out the bottles, and the result is squeaky clean bottles and parts. The back of the brush has a short groove running down the center which my finger rests on when I'm using it to clean, it's a small detail but I notice that it makes it more comfortable to use. • Title: Love This Brush!!

I was using the OXO brush before this with my glass Evenflo bottles and it worked great for about 3 weeks until the bristles compacted and hardened on me and it became a struggle to just get the brush into the bottle. Then I decided to give this little brush a shot and I LOVE it!!! Evenflo bottles are the narrow/standard openings so this brush is a breeze to get in and out of the bottle. The bristles are soft and it's been almost 3 weeks with this brush and it's still going strong. It cleans great and it has bristles on the tip of the brush (on the bristle end) so that it cleans the bottom of the bottle too. I honestly think that this will last until my son is done with bottles and sippy cups. I even bought one to leave at my mother's house! In regards to some of the cons I saw in other reviews: Yes you'll get soapy water splatters but after cleaning bottles a time or two you'll figure out how to clean with this brush without getting splatters all over yourself and your counters. Or at least minimize it. Yes the bristles are only one side so it takes a couple more turns to clean the whole bottle. Sounds annoying but how big is your bottle? I have also used this brush on the wide Avent bottles and it literally only takes a couple more seconds. My cons after using this brush: 1. I wish the handle was just a little bit longer and/or had a rubbery grip. The Evenflo bottles are tall and narrow so every now and then I will lose my grip on the brush because it tapers pretty hard and get very slippery when soapy. 2. I wish the nipple cleaning end of the brush was bristled instead if just the plastic spiral. I don't like cleaning with that. So I clean what I can with the bristle and then use my pinky to clean the actual nipple part."

When I first got this brush, I was very hopeful because it was clearly good quality, well-made, and came with a plastic cover that seemed like I could reuse it for storing the brush (I don't use every day as I am still nursing my son). And the quality is very good- the bristles are soft and pliable but sturdy enough that they do get into the smaller areas. I've run it in the dishwasher and it seems to be the same. The handle fits well in my hand and it easy enough to rotate (note- bristles are only on one side which means you do have to spin the brush to clean This works VERY well for my bottles (mostly 2 and 4 oz Medela style- for the smaller ones HOWEVER BUT

We have been using our bottle brush for 5 months and it has held up better than another brand we used initially. Our baby is now eating solids and I use the brush to clean out his utensils. The only thing I don't like about the brush, as other reviewers had pointed out, is that I have to use an additional smaller brush to clean out the inside of the nipple. • Title: Very useful!

I bought this with some hesitation, wondering if it was one of those baby items where you can get the exact same result with items you probably already have in the house. But it's great! The angled bristles at the end of the brush are key for scrubbing the sloping inside of the bottle just below the neck. And the skinny ribbed end lets you scrub the inside of nipples so easily. I used this for the baby's milk bottles, and now to clean her sippy cups. Some reviews have complained about how the brush can't stand up to dry - but I just rest mine on the edge of the drying rack, bristles facing up, and it's dry in no time - I don't find it bothersome at all.

I got this because I didn't like the bottle brushes with the spongy top. I love how sturdy it is and no wire part to bend and eventually break like many of the others. It fits into all of the bottles we have, even the smaller mouth ones. I had hoped it would do well with the Medela PIS pump parts. However, it doesn't fit into the smaller spaces like the end of the flange or the smaller parts of the valve. It's still better quality than anything else that I've used, but we still need multiple brushes for the job.

  • Title: If bottles were only a bottom.

I agree that it washes bottles. The bristles got hard after a month of use, but haven't fractured yet. We stopped using it. It washed the bottom of the bottle ok. The ouside of the nipple just swell.. it's really kinda a terrible brush for the inner part of the nipple. It reaches nothing. The bristles are too short. I do happen to get a lot more wet than with the other brushes I purchased, though all of them leave me kinda sprayed. This washes pump parts TERRIBLY. Again it just doesn't get into the hard to reach places. So if you're all formula and don't hate that the end "nipple cleaner" of the brush is really just a hard nub without any scrub to it, it's ok. Don't buy if you have pump parts.

My kids are now 8 and 10 -- I began buying these brushes when they were infants, as I loved the way they reach way down into bottles. I still use these brushes for other dishes -- to wipe away the grime or food particles on dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, etc. The white bristles are not super hard and "scratchy" like many of the other bottle brushes I've seen -- so it doesn't scratch your bottles, glasses, etc. I put them in my dishwasher regularly to keep them clean and sanitized. I usually have 3 on hand -- two that I alternate with my regular dishes (while one is in the dishwasher, I'm using the other one, etc.) and one that I use with things like the dog's dishes, etc. They do wear out after awhile - the tip of the brush will become pushed in, probably because that's the part I use the most for scrubbing. However, I would consider them long-lasting... I absolutely love these brushes!

This is our main dishwashing brush. I like the shape of the bristles, it's easy to hold on to, it gets into cracks and crevices, and washes surfaces without scratching. With a little care you can make this inexpensive brush last a year or two, even with heavy use. To prevent flattening or staining the bristles, I pre-scrub greasy pans or heavily soiled dishes with my sturdy KitchenAid palm brush first. The handle is a little short for tall bottles or thermoses

  • Title: Great for bottles but not perfect for all feeding parts

Bought this because it will last much longer than a month like the typical sponge brush. Bottle brush is super sturdy and easy to use for all bottle parts. The only reason I will not give this 5 stars is because I cannot wash the inside of the breast shields for my pump with this brush. All other parts are scrubable with this brush, but the "hooter horns" (as my hubby calls them) are narrower than the brush. To perfect this product, AVENT would make the super sturdy BPA-free brush section a little narrower. So, I am bummed to say I still need a sponge brush along with this one to complete the job. If you are not nursing, this brush will be 5-star for you. For nursing/pumping moms, you will appreciate the durability and scrubbing quality but will still need another brush. BOTTOM LINE: Scrubs super clean for all parts it can reach. Needs narrower head for breast pump shields.

My only complaint would be that it's not great for cleaning a breast pump. But, I've made do with it, so I wouldn't use that as a measure to buy or not buy.

Two kids later and I still use these. They last a really really long time, but I replace them every so often just for sanitary reasons.

  • Title: Not used for bottles/nipples at all

This brush was part of a bottle set my daughter got when the grandbaby was born. Now it is her sink brush. I used it at her house and had to have two. I ordered one for my sink and one for backup. The soft bristles and size makes cleaning up plates, cups, jars, etc., before going into the dishwasher a breeze. We put it in the dishwasher, too, to sanitize it.

  • Title: Not just another Bottle brush

At first I wasn't sure what to get, I figure it didn't work well with the bottles, I could use it in my kitchen. It is soft and easy to use to clean the bottles. I will recommand.

This is a fantastic brush! I wish the bristles were a little harder, but the nippe cleanser is a fantastic idea. It fits all bottles!

  • Title: Awesome brush

I bought this because I did not like the other brushes that use bristles to clean the inside of nipples. Turns out that I love it for more than just that. The bristles of the bottle cleaner do not fall out with use and it works great to clean his food bowls and plates that have stuck on food a lot better than others since the bristles are stiffer. Also comes with a cover to over the brush area which makes travel a breeze.

  • Title: good brush use it every day.

we bought this brush to clean out our event baby bottles. It works great we have no problems with it. We don't really use the nipple cleaner it seems a bit stiff, we have a different one that has more bristles on it. Overall great product would definitely recommend

  • Title: Good brush, but wish the nipple cleaner was bristle-y too!

This brush works well at cleaning my baby's bottles, and I like that I haven't really gotten sprayed when pulling it out of the bottle. It always helps though to angle the brush awaaay from your face/hair/clothing while removing it up though the bottle opening. I think it would be so much better of a product if the nipple-cleaning end actually had bristles on it too! As it is, it's just the same plastic material as the handle of the brush. I don't know how this is supposed to clean nipples. Maybe if the food or formula or whatever is more of a puree material it would help?? Anyways, you can't go wrong for the price on this thing. You could even use it to clean normal dishes, your coffee mugs, the shower, etc etc. Just don't do all that with the SAME brush haha

  • Title: Great brush!

Works well for cleaning out bottles!!! Definitely glad we bought this! It doesn't do much for cleaning smaller spaces or nipples but we have a brush that came with the bottles that we use for that purpose.

  • Title: Good brush... just not for baby bottles

Bought this because I didn't want 2 separate brushes for the bottles and teats. However, the plasticy 'brush' at the end is useless without bristles. I ended up using this brush for washing my mugs and thermal flasks.

  • Title: Excellent brush

Works great for cleaning the Phillips Avent bottles and also other brands of bottles and various baby accessories. Seems to be holding up well after over a month of daily use. I like it much better than the brushes with the sponge part at the top, which seems to fall apart pretty quickly.

  • Title: Works great on medela bottles!

I think this bottle brush is much more effective at scrubbing the sides of the bottles instead of one of those normal brushes that have the bristles in a round shape, those seem to be much harder to scrub the sides. This brush holds up, does a great job of cleaning the bottles. Just remember to face the bristles down when you pull the brush out of the bottle or you'll flick water all over yourself!

  • Title: Love this bottle brush.

After I started using Avent bottles for my 2nd baby (used Dr browns for the first and was tired of all the cleaning that needs to be done), I fell in love with Avent. I wanted to try their bottle brush and was very happy with my purchase. Before this I used to have regular sponge brush which i need to replace every few weeks.. this is my month 2 on this brush and it works like new. THank you Avent for all your products out there!

  • Title: Love this!!!

Ive tried so many bottle brushes i just thought i had to live with being unhappy with them. The aponge ones get gross and fall apart very fast and the round brushes are too stiff and i feel like im just scratching my bottles! Till i got these. It had such great reveiws i had to give it a try! It first starts alittle stiff but after only couple uses the bristles became the perfect amount of stiffness and softness!! And i love the plastic nipple cleaners, they work super well. Also since its mostly plastic, i dont have to really worry about yucky mold and mildew!! Highly recommend!!!

  • Title: Great brush

I have been using this brush for the past 7 months to vigorously clean baby bottles on a daily basis. It has held up so well! I use the Dr Brown's bottles and this fits perfectly. The shape and hard plastic handle make it easy for me to shove in the bottle and scrub them clean. I figured by now I would need to replace it but it has held up well. I regularly throw it in a pan of boiling water or run it through the dishwasher to disinfect it. I was so happy with this brush I just bought one to give as part of a gift set to one of my friends. You won't be disappointed with this bottle brush!

  • Title: Great brush

I like the shape of the bristles, it's easy to hold on to, it gets into crevices, and washes surfaces without scratching them. Even with heavy use, you can make it last for months. I also love the fact that my face doesn't get sprayed with water while bottle washing.

  • Title: Tried and true

I've tried a few different bottle brushes and this is my favorite. I especially love that the brush part is only on one side so that the dishsoap doesn't spray everywhere whenever you clean the inside of the bottle and take the brush out!

  • Title: An alternative to the standard BPA bottle brush

A decent brush because it's PBA-free and it's durable...6 months it's still going strong. PBA-free ranks high in my book, but keep in mind this brush is still made out of hormone disrupting plasticizers so it loses a star... bad for our health and bad for the environment. The bristles are not as stiff as the regular Wal-mart fare but still effective for most uses -- not just baby bottles -- and a bit stiffer than my boar's head bristle brushes which are very soft (these are no longer available on amazon or I would insert a product link.). It is not stiff enough for cleaning pots and pans, but great on cups and glasses, bottles and even casserole dishes that have been well-soaked. Over-all, a good brush and an alternative to PBA made brushes that you risk contaminating your dishes or bottles with, especially if washing them in hot water. However, as a nutritionist, if I were washing baby bottles I would still look for a natural alternative just to be on the safe side. But if your are using plastic baby bottles then I suppose this is a moot point. (Do they make glass baby bottles with a fully-enclosed silicone protective cover? Might be a little heavy but perhaps still a good idea?) Update: I just received a natural plant fiber brush Lola Eco Clean Bamboo and Tampico Bottle Brush that is a far better alternative to any plastic bottle brush I've found. The bristles

This lightweight brush is easy to hold and works great at scrubbing bottles. The price was a bargain compared to the first sponge-tipped brush we bought. Recommended.

  • Title: Doesn't fall apart!

This brush works great! We have had many others and they always fall apart the brissels would come out or it would break in half (where the plastic head meets the metal handle). But this brush works great and has lasted longer than any other brand/style so far!

  • Title: Best bottle brush I've found

I've tried other bottle brushes and most just disintegrate after a few weeks. This one has held up for several months of washing 7 baby bottles per day. And we're using Dr. Brown bottles with all the extra parts so it's done a lot of washing. It still looks as good as new.

  • Title: best bottle brush

I've had many different bottle brushes. This is by far the best one. Works for any size or shape bottles, breast pump parts and even the medela storage bottles which are very narrow. The tip of the brush is also a nipple brush which I love because it's not a separate piece. Glad I found this.

  • Title: Looks like it will work

Baby is due 11/22, so we have chosen the AVENT product line for feeding. Everything appears to be exactly what we wanted. The other reviews were helpful. I will have to let you know around December or January how it all works out.

  • Title: Sturdy

The bristles on this brush are much more sturdy than the other type of brush. It can also get to the nipple if you apply pressure. It's good for other types of bottles too. Also, it doesn't have a sponge part. I like that it doesn't have the sponge part. It has sturdy bristles that will last longer.

  • Title: Just buy this brush!

Don't waste your money on any other bottle brush. I got every brand of bottle brush known to man at my baby shower except this one. They were all crap. This brush is durable and worth the couple extra bucks! Stop the amazon research!! This bottle brush is a must have. You can also use it to clean other dishes. No annoying dishwater splatter when you pull the brush out of the bottle. It also works for standard size bottles.
